There was nothing horrible about the restaurant, but also nothing exceptional. We ordered the calamari appetizer. It was barely enough to feed one person. I had Carmela's Chicken. The flavor was dominated by the caramelized onions.

The chef has no creativity or isn't allowed to expand his talents. Some of the sauces must come out of a can, seriously after 3 times I won't return. If it wasn't for the tourists this place would close.

We were eating low carb and ordered and shared the spicy ricotta meatballs and the stuffed mushrooms. I certainly can't argue with other people's experience here, but as the title says, we found it to be quite good. In addition, our server was patient and polite.

We went to have dinner here the night that we arrived in Waikoloa... and it was ok. It is the standard food of any other RRG in the country, with a less than skilled and caring staff. We had to change the waitress due to the lack of professionalism, but the Manager took care of it immediately, no big deal.... More

Our only family dinner together for the trip from Oahu to the Big Island while hubbie attends a conference. Greeted nicely, seated swiftly, our waiter (Shannon) was attentive and sensitive to our vegetarian daughter. Food was as expected for the chain, good size portions, friendly atmosphere. Lots of parking in the mall, didn't need a reservation.

Great for a bite to eat when you've had a long day on the beach. Casual dress and the food is reasonably priced considering the location and the portions.

When we first walked in to an almost empty restaurant, the hostess told us that there would be a ten minute wait unless we wanted to sit in the bar area. We were hungry so we opted for a high top table in the bar area, which by the way, was also practically empty. We seated ourselves and waited for... More

A nice option to have amidst all of the expensive resort restaurants on the Kohala coast...for one meal anyway. Our kids liked it. Best part of the experience was when one of the waitstaff sashayed up to our table and asked my husband, "Cheese on your balls, sir?" That kept us laughing the whole rest of the trip.

This Romano's is in a decent location in the Waikoloa shopping center, but there are much better choices for happy hour and lunch or dinner in the area. We had actually arrived on the island kind of late, so this was convenient. If you are in a hurry and need to do one-stop shopping, go to the ABC or something,... More
