The food here is okay and you can get a table when you walk in. The service is good and you get what you pay for. There is no ocean view here. It's pretty much like eating at a restaurant near your home.

The water was fine, the waitress was great! The chicken in the Alfredo and in the Penne Rustica, came from a bag. Why in the neck would you ruin a perfectly good meal with frozen chicken? Wth

We arrived on The Big Island late in the afternoon and we were looking for a place where we could get dinner without a reservation. We chose the Mac Grill. Our usual choice here is the chicken scaloppini so we ordered 2 scaloppini's, a caesar salad to share, and a bottle of wine. Service was a bit iffy and my... More

My husband and I are staying at a resort down the street and wanted a cheaper option for breakfast. Service was slow although the restaurant wasn't crowded I ordered the Queen's Breakfast which was scrambled eggs, 2 pc of bacon and 2 pancakes. Food was average. Menu is uninspiring...maybe add some Hawaiian choices?

it was ok for a quick lunch when we arrived on our first day ... close to the grocery. Typical to the chain, nothing over the top but a nice lunch.

Nothing new and exciting about the restaurant but you can still expect the same good food and large portions as you would get at any other Macaroni Grill in the other States. It is loud and crowded but service was good and the wait staff friendly.

It might appear to be synthetic Italian food, but this is really a neat restaurant. The portions are enormous and the quality is excellent. The pasta is wonderful and the Chicken Parmesan will feed two easily.... The crowning glory of this place, though, is its staff. I always sit in the bar area and the young people who will attend... What a wonderful place for dinner with family and friends. A light fun atmosphere with friendly service. You will appreciate the pasta options as they are plentiful. The portions are good and the food is done really well. We ate here twice in a three day period.

Six of us went to this restaurant. Service was friendly. Drinks were generous and tasty. Our meals arrived and they were cold. Jim sent his meal back to be heated; it came back ten minutes later still cold. My chicken Parmesan arrived with a thick layer of cold congealed mozzarella.. The pasta was cold and stiff like it was a... More

We've eaten twice at this establishment - once for breakfast during our previous visit to the Big Island in March 2014 and once more this time. On the last occasion we had breakfast here, which was excellent all round. This time, we stopped for lunch. As before, the food was generally excellent, the one downside being that it was quite...
