Wonderful seafood entrees

I ordered the tuna, which was perfectly cooked to my specified medium-rare. Two from our group had the fish of the day, the Hawaiian broadbill swordfish. It was very good. The last of our group ordered sushi, which she will always order if given the opportunity. At just under $30, the entrees were... read more

Our meal was ok here, we got a cucumber appetizer that we really liked. The Hawaii roll was good, but the Alaskan candy roll had too much sauce on it. The staff was very nice, but we just did not like the atmosphere. It felt like we were eating at a pizza place.

We ate at Sensei in Kapalua on Maui several years ago and absolutely loved it. We ate there again last year and it was good. Our experience at the Waikoloa location was about the same this year. I'm not sure if things have slipped or we've just experienced places we like much better (Nobu for example). No complaints with the... More

We liked all of the items that we tried, but our favorite here was the Dynamite Shrimp (tempura shrimp/amazing sauce!) -- a must try!!! It was so popular that we needed a second order. The favorite roll at our table was the Sensei Special Roll (crab, cilantro, veggies and sweet chili sauce). We never come to the Big Island without... More

Kind of hard to comment on this place. ....definitely pricey but the quality is outstanding. Crispy calamari and a dragonfly roll were delicious! Make a reservation!

Tried many different entrees and sushi, it was all amazing. It will be my first stop when I go back. My personal favorite was the Chili-Porcini steak!

I ordered the fish of the day which was the Hawaiian broadbill swordfish. It was very good. Tasty and cooked perfectly. At just under $30 it seemed a little pricey, but this is Hawaii and the restaraunt is located in the Waikaloa resort, so not too surprising. The waitress was very friendly and did an excellent job. The restaraunt was... More

We had a dinner at Sansei. The dishes were tasty and inventive. Service was friendly and restaurant were willing to accommodate us without a reservation at a busy time of day, and our request for a quiet table. The atmosphere was lively, all ages, and families with children. There is something for everyone's taste and dietary requirements on the menu.... More

I had a great meal at Sansei, which we thankfully found by accident! It has a great feel to the place when you walk in the door, which always helps in the first impression department. Already feeling good from a great day at the beach, I was craving some butterfish which was SUPERB! Wish I could describe the taste but... More
