The food was good. My drinks were good. Sansei's in all is good fun. The service was decent until we paid the check and the waitress asked us about her tip. I'm not stingy ok, I work in the service industry in a tip paying job. It was a decent tip that we all felt matched the level of service.... More

We went to Sansei the first night we arrived Big Island. The waitress was really friendly, fun, helpful and efficient. The food on the other hand was average, nothing to write home about. The cocktails were not tasty at all. My husband and I tried 4 different kinds between two of us, none of them tasted good, so skip them... More

This is easily the best sushi on the big island, maybe the state. The whole menu is inventive with all kinds of seafood and really something for everyone. We had a steak eater, a gluten free person and a vegetarian all were happy. The Sunday and Monday evening early bird specials with 1/2 price menu items makes it perfect for... More

Do try this restaurant, I just love it. The sushi is outstanding but you can order other types of meals which are just as good, and they even have a children's menu. Look into the special pricing hours if you want to give it a try at a great price but be ready to stand in line to get the... More

Food was just okay. There were some fun options on the menu like interesting rolls, but my ramen was nothing to write home about. Honestly not too different from the packaged kind. Service was pretty good though.

My wife and I wanted to get away for some good sushi without paying top dollar. This proved good for us. Our waitress was very helpful with suggestions. My wife had the swordfish special while I had three sushi dishes. Her special was good and two of three sushi dishes (mango crab salad roll, dragon roll) were great. Unfortunately, the... More

Excellent food and service. 20% discount on early diners (orders in before 6:00). Recommend you try it.

We were staying at the Hilton and wanted to find a affordable alternative to eating on property. We stumbled upon this place and we're very pleased with the service and food. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the menu selection. The Cajon White Tuna Sushimi was off the charts.

This could have been a four star review. Great selection on the menu but they didn't cook the food right. I had a special with some locally caught fish and a pork chop combo. Unfortunately the fish and pork chop were both overcooked and dry. It was a thin piece of fish and they should have known it would cook... More

The only time my husband and I stop here is on Sunday or Monday nights when they do the 50% off food early bird deal. Hawaii is expensive and we try to cook on our own most of the time. However, the early bird special can be a great deal. I would eat there even without the discount, but it's... More
