We ate here on a whim. My partner and I live in Alberta - the home of cattle ranching and oil that rivals Texas - and I have extensive restaurant experience. The filet mignon served to our table was the best we have encountered. The cheesecake was amazing. Every plate was beautiful and ample portion provided. The restaurant was very... More

We enjoyed our dinner here. I had the Caesar salad and Manhattan clam chowder while my wife had the sausage and pasta bowl. Caesar dressing tasted fresh and as it should, not too creamy, and the chowder was chunky and almost a "stoup," which reminded me of something more homemade. More

$3 for iced tea? $12 for a sandwich at lunch? The sandwiches were good but very overpriced. No sides came with them except for a handful of lettuce salad. I wouldn't go back here unless you just have money to burn. More

The pesto pizza was very good. The service was quick and the choices were numerous. The place is very busy so go early. More

My wife and I ate several lunches and dinners here. All were excellent. The portions were a good size (i.e. not large) and the food was prepared very well. A bit pricey, but well worth it. It is very close to Volcano National Park; you can go to Kiawe for lunch and back to the park for afternoon hikes. Dinner... More

Would have like to give 3 1/2 stars - better than "average" but not quite "very good". Food, service, prices all good but not great. Not a lot of choice in this area so worth a visit. More

They serve the best thin crust pizza with any toppings you choose. We had to wait about 30 minutes to get a table, but it was on Saturday night. Realy good food! More

Give our guidebook, recommendations from the B&B and the fact that the restaurant was filling up at about 5:30, we were anticipating a very nice dining experience. However, after being seated, we waited and inordinately long time for the wait staff pas us an initial visit. We were within a few seconds of walking out. The service did not improve... More

Best wood fired pizza. I have never had such a good tomato, and I don't even like tomatoes. Expensive, but everything is expensive in Hawaii More
