Description: Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant, located in the quiet village of Volcano, sits on 5 acres of gardens and gazebos and native forest. This hotel restaurant features a large fireplace, local art, koa tables, and is open nightly. Chef/owner Albert Jeyte blends flavors from his European background with farm, ranch and seafood products from Hawaii, the surrounding Pacific and elsewhere. Volcano Village is at 3700 feet elevation and evenings are often cool and misty. The historic fireplace welcomes guests with it's cheery fire. Home made soups and breads tease the appetite. Albert specializes in unusual game...venison, antelope, rabbit, duck. The biggest sellers are local fish dishes; ahi, ono, mahimahi and the exotic Tristan lobster. A large wine list complements the eclectic menu.

Only recommendation of a friend on Oahu we enjoyed a fine meal with excellent service. It is costly but worth it. We enjoyed lunch so much we came back for dinner.

We were so looking forward to our last dinner on the island at this restaurant as it had come so highly recommended. We did make dinner reservations which i would recommend and enjoyed the feel of the place - there is lots of wonderful art by Hawaiians displayed around the place that was a nice addition. Our waitress was friendly... More

My husband and I ate at the Kilauea Restaurant during our park visit. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. Our waitress was wonderful, very friendly and warm. The meal was very good. Would stop again if at VNP.

We stumbled into Volcano HI with no reservations and drove by this lodge with a big Rotary wheel out front. We are Rotarians and naturally stopped in. While the Volcano Rotary no longer meets here, this stunning lodge and restaurant has a rich and diverse menu featuring anything from fresh Hawaiian seafood to TX antelope or German meatloaf. The wait... More

The food was tasty even though there was some unusual ingredients. They also accommodated my gluten allergy with is always a plus when traveling. Great chocolate tort!

Breathtaking location. Historic setting. Cozy ambience. Impeccable service. Amazing food. We’re so lucky to have this fine restaurant on the Big Island! The menu offers rustic country-style European cuisine (hint: wild game and waterfowl as main meat dishes) with a touch of tropical flavors. At a recent dinner (with visiting cousins from Texas), my partner and I had our favorites:... More

Attention entrepreneurs and locals...this place needs a restaurant the serves good food and provides friendly service. After getting bad food and terrible service at two restaurants in Volcano we decided to drive into Hilo for dinner. This restaurant had high prices and below average food that would make my German Grandpa cringe. We came in and were placed at a... More

We ate dinner in the bar area rather than the restaurant, so the menu may have been different. The food was very good and the service was prompt and friendly. If you like frou-frou drinks (like I do), the volcano is quite tasty, but the view of the steaming volcano out the window is the biggest draw!

We wanted to find another restaurant besides the Volcano House and the KMC Cafe. The Kilauea Lodge Restaurant was a great find. The service was outstanding. They have a really tight knit team that takes care of everything from when you first arrive to when you pay your bill. The food was very good and the price was what you... More
