Description: Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant, located in the quiet village of Volcano, sits on 5 acres of gardens and gazebos and native forest. This hotel restaurant features a large fireplace, local art, koa tables, and is open nightly. Chef/owner Albert Jeyte blends flavors from his European background with farm, ranch and seafood products from Hawaii, the surrounding Pacific and elsewhere. Volcano Village is at 3700 feet elevation and evenings are often cool and misty. The historic fireplace welcomes guests with it's cheery fire. Home made soups and breads tease the appetite. Albert specializes in unusual game...venison, antelope, rabbit, duck. The biggest sellers are local fish dishes; ahi, ono, mahimahi and the exotic Tristan lobster. A large wine list complements the eclectic menu.

We ate here the last time 2 years ago and made sure to come back - and we were not disappointed. The food is wonderful - there is a great selection - and the staff could not be any nicer and helpful. Can't wait to go back. PS: This is a great place to have dinner and then go to... More

My husband is gluten free and they had several options. We were here for our anniversary dinner and it was a romantic and unhurried dinner. He had a delicious steak and I had an amazing soup and a lobster salad. Staff was very attentive and quite helpful with the menu and the wine.

I have been coming t the Lodge for the last 10 years and have never been disappointed. The menu is extensive and the food most delicious. The cozy lodge atmosphere is charming. For special occasions, they have balloons waiting at your table and your occasion, printed on the evening's menu for a souvenir. The wide rage of foods offered for... More

We booked a table for 7.30 p.m. As we were told that the restaurant was very good and in high demand due to the limited amount of restaurants in the area. We arrived promptly as per their request and upon arrival we were told to sit on a sofa as our table had not yet been prepared. Approximately 20-25 minutes... More

Our dinner here was cozy and quiet - very pleasant way to end a long day of hiking. Service was great, too. Cocktails and appetizers were a good start to the meal. I had the house soup and really enjoyed it. My husband was feeling adventurous and tried the antelope filet - he really liked it. I tried a bite... More

I had lunch at this restaurant. I had a fish sandwich that was very tasty, fresh, and reasonably priced. Service very friendly. I would totally recommend this as you lunch stop in Volcano Village.

We had a fantastic brunch at Kilauea Lodge & Restaurant on our way back to Waikoloa after a visit to Volcanoes National Park. We had actually wanted to stay there but there were no rooms available. The service was friendly and the food delicious. I seem to recall papaya and most delicious hash. The room itself is a lovely rustic... More

When visiting Volcano State Park on the Big Island you must visit this restaurant. Easygoing friendly staff serve exquisite food at very reasonable prices in a nice environment.
