Description: Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant, located in the quiet village of Volcano, sits on 5 acres of gardens and gazebos and native forest. This hotel restaurant features a large fireplace, local art, koa tables, and is open nightly. Chef/owner Albert Jeyte blends flavors from his European background with farm, ranch and seafood products from Hawaii, the surrounding Pacific and elsewhere. Volcano Village is at 3700 feet elevation and evenings are often cool and misty. The historic fireplace welcomes guests with it's cheery fire. Home made soups and breads tease the appetite. Albert specializes in unusual game...venison, antelope, rabbit, duck. The biggest sellers are local fish dishes; ahi, ono, mahimahi and the exotic Tristan lobster. A large wine list complements the eclectic menu.

I had some friends from Austria visiting and we decided to go to the Kilauea Lodge & Restaurant for dinner. Our guests appreciated getting a taste of home in Volcano Village. I thought the service was great and the food Very Good. I'm glad we made reservations through Open Table. We would not have been able to get reservations otherwise.... More

The food was just OK, the service was terrible. Missed our appetizer, and drink orders, never came back to check on if anything was missing and then gave me $20 in single ones and not change when I paid the bill...not a great experience in my books

This us a quaint restaurant, cottage style with exposed wooden beam, fireplace and beautiful art work in the restaurant. We had three meals here, breakfast and lunch, all excellent. Try the steak salad. Service was also great

I ate here for dinner twice on my recent trip to Volcano, HI. The restaurant had tropical, relaxed vibe yet "nice" at the same time. On both my visits I noticed several tables enjoying birthdays or other celebrations (the tables were marked with balloons), so it seems this is the place to come for a nice dinner. The menu changes... More

Kilauea Lodge was our go-to spot for dining while we were in Volcano, HI. The food was excellent, and the service matched. It's pricey, but that's true with all restaurants in HI.

This was a nice environment for a romantic dinner - quiet, small and comfortable. The menu seemed to have a lot of German cuisine along with several options for wild game and seafood as well. The rustic décor reminded me of a charming hunting lodge and they had a fine wine selection to complement their dishes.

Arrived late - 7 PM without reservations. Not crowded and were seated promptly. As it was our last night in Hawaii we all ordered something special and no one was disappointed. Ample portions and no one tried desert. Pricey. Service was excellent.

We ate here the last time 2 years ago and made sure to come back - and we were not disappointed. The food is wonderful - there is a great selection - and the staff could not be any nicer and helpful. Can't wait to go back. PS: This is a great place to have dinner and then go to... More

My husband is gluten free and they had several options. We were here for our anniversary dinner and it was a romantic and unhurried dinner. He had a delicious steak and I had an amazing soup and a lobster salad. Staff was very attentive and quite helpful with the menu and the wine.
