Description: Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant, located in the quiet village of Volcano...
Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant, located in the quiet village of Volcano, sits on 5 acres of gardens and gazebos and native forest. This hotel restaurant features a large fireplace, local art, koa tables, and is open nightly. Chef/owner Albert Jeyte blends flavors from his European background with farm, ranch and seafood products from Hawaii, the surrounding Pacific and elsewhere. Volcano Village is at 3700 feet elevation and evenings are often cool and misty. The historic fireplace welcomes guests with it's cheery fire. Home made soups and breads tease the appetite. Albert specializes in unusual game...venison, antelope, rabbit, duck. The biggest sellers are local fish dishes; ahi, ono, mahimahi and the exotic Tristan lobster. A large wine list complements the eclectic menu.

Owner of Dolphin Bay suggested stopping here for lunch & we weren't disappointed. Good service & excellent food. The restaurant is about 5 minutes from the entrance to the volcano park. We didn't book and were seated straight away but it might be worth booking during high seasons.

Great service and friendly staff. Food was good, but not great. My rabbit dish was a little dry and bland, while my fiancé 's steak was pretty good. A dish comes with a salad or a soup. Liked the bread service, coffee and dessert ( they actually bring a tray of all the desserts for you to pick, quite impressive... More

They were so nice to seat us on a busy night even though we didn't have reservations. The fresh bread was really good but the food was a little pricy for what we got. The atmosphere was really nice.

We ate here for lunch and it was very good. Interesting decor as it was part art gallery and kind of hunting lodge look and feel but it worked and the food and service was very good. We would go back if we venture back to the big island

Called in on spec after a full day at Kilauea volcano. Loved the decor. Golden Beet soup was tasty, proper soup made from a good stock. Loved trying antelope - like gamy beef - to be honest I think I prefer beef fillet! Recommended wine by the glass is suggested for each main and was a good match. Service excellent.

Really enjoyed a very nice dinner at the Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant with a great cocktail before dinenr. Food was excellent and well priced. Nice change from the diner food we had been eating. Great rest after a day of hiking and sightseeing.

I did not stay at the lodge but ate at their restaurant several times. The food was prepared well and the portions will leave you with leftovers. The prices were a little steep but on par with all the other prices in the area. I believe they offer discounts if you stay with them.

During a family vacation to Volcano National Park on the Big Isle, we had dinner at the Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant. The dining room has a very homey, comfortable feel, the wait staff gracious and attentive. I had the Chicken Tuscany, tender fillets in a light, white wine sauce with grapes. Two guests had the seafood medley pasta, filled with... More

Given the scarcity of restaurants in the area,it`s almost compelled to go from here. The menu offers many varieties and specialties. Unfortunately, the price range is a little high, but worth it,we eat really well. Great service. Beware of fake lamps on the table, they are hot. Bookings are highly recommended. You can wait, too long.
