Volcano get away

We stayed at this lovely lodge in room 6. It was great! We enjoyed the rain and the hot tub. We had dinner and breakfast at the lodge. They have a large variety of selections. The service was excellent. Everyone is very friendly.

This place seems to have every thing going for a fine dining experience. Great setting, warm, cosy atmosphere, excellent looking menu and friendly staff. It did not deliver on the food. They provide fresh bread and the choice of salad or soup for starters, a good concept. I had the soup, a tasty broth. My partner opted for the salad... More

19 Years and counting... Coming back is truly coming home. The warmth is found not only in the beautiful quilts, the heated towels and the endless detail, but also the staff and owners. Aloha you guys!

Our food was good, as was our service, but it always irks me to have a shared plate charge, ESPECIALLY a $10.00 charge, as was the case here. We split the lamb chops and the fish special (Ono),

While staying on the Kona coast we travelled with friends to visit the volcano and spent a night at the Kilauea Lodge and as we had heard rave reviews of the restaurant there we made a reservation and were not at all disappointed. One of our friends had the seafood pasta while the other had an excellent fish dish. Both... More

We stopped for lunch on the way to Volcano National Park around 1pm on a Tuesday and the place was slammed. There were six in our group and we'd heard so many great things we put our name on the list and waited. Glad we did - service and food were wonderful and the building charming! Don't miss this stop!

My wife and I stopped here for breakfast on our way to Volcanoes National Park. We were seated quickly, but we had to wait several minutes before our waitress took our order. We did not mind because she was friendly and helpful. We both ordered the Chief Ranger, a mixture of eggs, potatoes and sausage. The owner-chef's special addition of... More

This place is pretty. A very lovely room for breakfast. When we walked in and was asked if we were staying at the lodge and we replied no. We were asked to sit by the fireplace. We did...he came back over in 5 minutes and took us to to far back corner near the kitchen door........There were tables up front... More

A decent meal is hard to come by at the isolated Volcanoes National Park. The exception is Kilauea Lodge in adjacent Volcanoes Village. The quality of food and service is surprising given the relative remoteness of the establishment. Breakfasts are imaginative and hearty and dinners emerge from a variable menu that would do credit to an eatery in a top-notch... More

There aren't a lot of fine dining options in the Volcano area, so this place is special. Nevertheless, they still welcome families with a great kids menu and crayons. Nice wine list. I highly recommend Niçoise salad and the French fries. The homemade desserts were excellent. Service and atmosphere were top-notch.
