We ate here in May after a long day of hiking in the park. The food was the best Thai I have ever had, I enjoyed it immensely. The price was about average for our stay in Hawaii,. Worth the price for the quality and service. more
Great Thai food the food was wonderful. However, like many of the other reviews have stated the food is on the pricy side but for the location near Volcanoes National Park where there are not many choices for food. This is the place to eat, they will customize the heat to your preference and the atmosphere was great. more
After a long day of exploring Lava Tree Park, Isaac Hale, Alahanui (sp?) and snorkeling Wai-opae tide pools (sp?) "take out" in our lodge, with a nice Cabernet was the way to go. My husband and I are very patient people. Let me just say that if you want take-out service, call ahead. Don't think you can go to the... more
Being from Chicago I thought the prices were fair. We ate there 4/5/09. We're both hot food fanatics we like our food habenero hot. I ordered the green curry with pork and my fiancee ordered red curry with chicken. We asked the waiter to make sure it was really hot. he warned us that sometimes people ask for really hot... more
Just ate there tonight. Loved it. Not a big place, but that's okay. Service was pleasant and swift. Food (Masamun curry, pad thai, spring rolls, two thai iced teas) was up there with some of the best thai I've had. So, worth it? Yes. With one caveat: I know this is Hawaii, but this place, some dishes are pricey. The... more
The food here was good, not amazing. However the prices for decent but not amazing thai food were way out of line. High end thai resturants in New York, Washington DC, Chicago, etc dont even come close to the prices here. Ex: Chicken Satay appetizer: $18.99; Shrimp Pad Thai: $25.99; $5.99 entree split fee for any dish split between adults....... more
Nice restuarant. GREAT vegie food. Very accommodating. more
My wife and I were staying in Volcano after a day at the park. We weren't sure what we wanted to eat and drove by the few choices in town and settled on Thai Thai. Boy were we happy with our choice! We arrived about 8PM and waited about 5 minutes for a table. The place is pretty small but... more
Having just returned from a trip to Thailand I was excited to find a seemingly authentic Thai restaurant tucked away in the tiny town of Volcano. Although my expectations were tempered, I was elated by the quality of the food, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere. The Pad Thai and Green Curry were both excellent. However, I must warn you that... more
