A quick snack?

Excellent value.. Good food and good service. Very small shop so have the family wait outside! A great way to meet the locals too! Two older ladies gave up their table for us as it was raining and we could sit at the outside tables. Had a lovely chat with them. Fare is sandwiches, salads... read more

The friendly atmosphere and good eats was so good the first day, we came back the second day. Half sand which is large enough for a full meal (big portions), the veggie chili and regular were both the 'bomb dot com' and the Kalbi Chicken plate with choice of brown or white rice was top notch. The order counter is... More

As already well explained in other reviews,in the village of Volcano it does not have many restaurants or services. This small shop / restaurant offers food at a good price and also very good. The best solution for a good breakfast before entering the Volcano or stock up for the trip.

The best place to eat in Volcano if you're on a budget. Among their specialties: deli sandwiches with high quality ingredients piled high (six dollars and change will get you a "half sandwich that will more than fill you up if you're not a teenager) home-made quiches, "bread bowls" full of savory soup or chili, and incredibly decadent desserts--I especially... While vacationing Hawaii we were tired of spending a lot of money to eat out. Spotted this place on Trip Advisor and were not let down. Nothing fancy but my wife ordered chili and I got spaghetti and it was quite tasty.

First time here, looking for a sandwich to pack on a hike. So big we decided to split it. Delicious, and prompt, cheerful service.

Stopped by for a mid morning snack. The place is small inside and was being run by just one person, so one can imagine issues if numbers build up. Tried a sandwich with the macadamia and cranberry bread that was delicious, as also were the cheddar cheese and accompanying filling. Coffee was good too. Overall, Very Good in its class

I was very disappointed with the roasted pork and mashed potatoes because the potatoes where instant/out of the box. On the other hand, the chilli was terrific! One in our group ordered the vegetarian and another the meat chilli. Both where good. The veggie chilli has tofu. Seating is out side.

Stopped here on the way back from Volcano National Park. Had some good chile in a bread bowl. You order from the counter and then sit outside. They bring your order to you.

Normally, I would rate a place like Cafe Ohia 3 stars, but considering the size, options, and clientele of Volcano Village, I think 4 stars are appropriate. This is not really a cafe. It is sort of a stop and go place for drinks and desserts. But they also have a very small breakfast and lunch menu. I ordered a... More
