The sandwich was huge. Turkey and cheese on their specialty bread. My wife and I split it and it was plenty for lunch.

I highly recommend stopping in at the little cafe before heading out to explore Volcano NP. Awesome sandwiches which are huge! you can get just a half sandwich also. Get it to go for a picnic in the park while you are enjoying one of the many great hikes.

Great sandwiches, nice picnic benches/tables outside to eat. Nothing fancy but good value and tasty.

We stopped here to pick up a picnic lunch for a drive/hike which they packed for us. The sandwiches are huge-they cut the bread loaf lengthwise rather than crosswise. All ingredients were fresh and delicious. Overall a very good value.

We stopped here for lunch to try a little something different from Volcano House. The lunch and value were both excellent. You order inside and sit at a picnic bench outside. We felt like locals!!

Stopped in for a to-go sandwich for the ride back to Kohala Coast after seeing Volcano National Park. As other reviewers mentioned, sandwiches are huge, fillings basic. The bread is fresh-baked and the veggies are fresh and local. Service was quick despite a crowd outside, and the woman who greeted me and took my order was very pleasant (maybe the... More

We popped in for a quick lunch and enjoyed our choices immensely. We knew from reading the reviews that the sandwiches were large as they slice their home-made bread lengthwise along the loaf, so we each ordered a half sandwich and they were about the size of a normal deli sandwich. I had the macnut cranberry bread with pastrami and... More

Need a super economical lunch just outside the Kilauea Volcano National Park - come out the entrance and take Hwy 11 towards Hilo, turn left on Huanani Road. straight ahead and you'll find Cafe Ohia in the village of Volcano, where you'll get fresh made sandwiches, salads and soups. Restful stop outside after a visit to the Park.

We stopped at this cafe in passing one morning on the way to the Volcanoes for breakfast. The breakfast value is good, big portions for decent food. The sandwiches are where my rating comes from though, it was awesome! The girl at the counter suggested that we just take one sandwich and share it between the two of us and... More
