We found Cafe' Ono through a recommendation made by our host while staying in Volcano Village. Curious to checkout a potential new lunch/coffee spot, we decided to pay Cafe' Ono a visit. What we discovered is a delightful mix of delicious homemade food and a studio selling an array of amazing arts and crafts - we purchased a wooden Buddha.... More

I am a local girl, that bought land within walking distance from this cafe. I had lunch there on day I decided to buy my land. I loved the food, the teas, the staff, the gallery and the grounds. I live on Oahu but will be staying there again for a week starting 29 June while I clear my grounds... More

If you are in the area of the Volcano National Park and you are looking for a healthy (vegan, vegetarian), fresh, locally sourced and soul-satisfying lunch look no further than Cafe' Ono. The hawaiian word "ono" means absolutely delicious and is very fitting for this little cafe. It is located at Volcano Garden Arts surrounded by a peaceful, artsy environment... More

Followed a friend's advice and lunched here. The lasagna was amazing and the desserts good. We enjoyed looking out at the trees and lawn (or sitting outside and eating).

A small dining room in the middle of a charming garden on top of the most active volcano in the word. Cafe Ono is a delight. The food is fresh vegetarian fare, made from locally grown organic ingredients. The selection is tasty and flavorful. I had soup and lasagna and walked away not able to remember the last time I... Owner Ira Ono is a delight, as is the quiet little garden/gallery/shop/cafe. The food is fresh and delicious. Volcano is not exactly teaming with places to eat, so to find this gem, that is so far elevated above the other options is a gift. My only complaint was that they were not open for dinner. Otherwise my mother and I... More

My husband and I ate here on the advice of friends who live on the Island. We sat outdoors under a garden umbrella and enjoyed the gardens! I had a piece of Spinach crustless quiche with a miso based soup, green salad, taro chips and iced tea. My husband had a Panini sandwich and the sides I had. All was... More

Just grabbed a coffee which was delicious. The grounds are adorable and Ira, the owner is a total sweetheart. I can't wait to go back and stay awhile longer.

Ono means delicious in Hawaiian and that's just what the food at Cafe Ono is…delicious but also healthy and nourishing as the ingredients are fresh, locally grown, organic, and made with care. While lunching in the beautiful garden, Ira Ono, the friendly and upbeat owner, will often entertain you with anecdotes about the history of the area, information about local... More

How cute is this little cafe! It is about a 5 minute drive from the national park and is also part of an amazing art gallery. It is quite small so reservations are recommended. We didn't have one but we browsed the lovely store while they got our table ready. I'd never tried an all vegan meal before, but I... More
