We got lunch carryout. Everything we ordered was top notch - hummus panini, salad, soup, lasange. This is the perfect place for vegetarians and vegan, and is competitive with the best places in cities like San Francisco. Excellent service.

I didn't quite know what we were in for, but in the end we loved it. Be warned, the menu is rather limited and not kid-friendly. You will not find turkey sandwiches or pizza on it. We ended up with vegetarian lasagna and he devoured it - but once they have sold it all, they are out for the day.... More

We saw a sign for Cafe One and decided to try it out. When we got to the turn in there was a sign that said "Cafe Ono- Open". So, we turned in. We walked into the cafe and after a minute two women came out of a back room, looked annoyed and said we are not open. We told... More

Tried to visit this place for breakfast. Apparently they don't so breakfast even they have a sign out front that says "Cafe Ono Open". The staff acted surprised and said they open at 11. Maybe you should take down your open sign. They claimed it was because the gallery is open but the word "open" directly appeared beneath "Cafe Ono"... More

We were looking for a place after visiting the volcano national park..the tour guide told us about cafe ono. The minute you walk in you see a nice gift shop with price art but we came for the food. The food was delicious. Great flavor and it tasted incredible. We ate outside which had a great zen to it. I... More

We stopped at Cafe' Ono on Tuesday June 3rd, 2014 because we needed a cup of coffee. What an awesome surprise! The coffee was great, but better yet were the grounds and attached gallery. The whole place had a zen like quality, the back porch is perfect, there is a 'tree room' sanctuary that is fabulous, and the staff was... More

The outside setting is beautiful, but the food was average. The prices and portions left us disappointed. We heard great things about the place from the lady where we stayed. I can see why people like it here, but the attention to the food left me unhappy.

A good choice for lunch in Volcano Village when visiting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. This is a small place, but the food is vastly superior to plate lunch dives you'll find in Hilo. Outdoor seating is very pleasant on sunny days.

Cafe Ono has a small but delicious menu of simple and incredibly tasty vegetarian (and vegan) dishes. The staff is friendly, the location relaxing, and did I mention the food was amazing? Each dish is served with homemade bread and a satisfying mound of greens, and some dishes come with a choice of soup. Highly recommended.

We came upon this lovely spot by accident, but we sure enjoyed this refreshing stop. Food is fresh and delicious. The staff is very attentive, even those who were having there first day on the job. The setting is a great mix of art gallery and garden. Great place to visit and to eat.
