Wow! Had a delicious meal today at Cafe Ono. Lovely ambience with quality customer service and excellent food. Owner Ono personally checks in with diners at their tables, takes photos of families with Dexter the goat, brings out a birthday cake to surprise a customer at the table, gives me a recipe for an awesome salad dressing etc. The grounds... We were visiting the Volcano national park and stopped by here for lunch. The cafe is vegetarian which is fine by me. Lots of local and organic ingredients. Food is tasty as well as healthy. Mr Ono is very welcoming and don't forget to say hi to Ernest the Goat. The garden is a lovely place to relax whilst eating.... More

My wife had the quiche, loved it. I had the lasagna, loved it. Everything tasted excellent and was very refreshing because of the natural ingredients.

My wife and I consider Cafe Ono a must stop for lunch when in Volcano Village. The food is great and shopping for Art in the same place is the best. We tried to stay at their B&B, but it was booked. Maybe next time.

We stopped at Cafe Ono at the suggestion of a local. The sign at the road said "OPEN". So, we parked and went in. The staff looked at us like we were crazy, and treated us like we should have somehow been able to know from the "OPEN" sign that they were "CLOSED". I get now that the sign was... More

Yes, our café is closed on Mondays for cleaning and cooking but the gallery and gardens are open daily. These visitors arrived at Volcano Garden Arts looking for breakfast and were politely informed by our staff that we do not serve breakfast they became disgruntled and confused by this stating they saw a sign down the road that said we... IMHO Ira's has the best carrot cake on island, and it's vegan. Really nice grounds and atmosphere too.

The food was lovely. Cafe is set in amongst an art gallery come gift shop. The owner showcases his own work as well as other items and is super friendly.

It's true. All the rave reviews. Delish pizza and salads. Atmosphere is so-so but hey when you are in paradise it's ok to just grab a casual bite... not every meal needs to be an event. Highly recommend.

My wife and I stopped at Cafe Ono based on a recommendation by people we met at the resort we were staying at. We were not familiar with the type of food this place served. The menu was not geared towards people who like meat. That is not my complaint. I would have given a higher rating because it is... More

Café Ono's reputation is based on providing an exquisite, organic, vegetarian cuisine in an aesthetically pleasing garden setting. Many of our customers and reviewers are meat-lovers and they still enjoy our hearty entrees. We work very hard to provide the freshest food possible and I apologize if someone on our staff made you uncomfortable when you left. I will speak... More
