We stopped here on our way to a hike through the crater. The food was so delicious - the service outstanding and the ambiance so pleasant. Don't miss this quiet peaceful experience. Also the art - jewelry - scarfs etc.are one of a kind. Beautiful!!

We went there Jan 2015 on way to Volcano and loved everything about cafe Ono. Great food, best service, Awesome owner takes personal interest in everything, great outdoors. We were delighted to be there in that beautiful outdoor as well indoors. Very artistically decorated and also nice art studio too. Many varieties of tea.

I loved Cafe Ono. The food was so good, especially for vegetarians (which I am), but equally enjoyable for others. The setting was beautiful. I loved the goat, who although tethered had so much freedom. The owner was so friendly. The little art gallery was full of beautiful items. I could quite happily eat lunch here every day!

I go here every time I visit my parents and they go once a week. This visit Ira was not there and their regular cook was off that day. Not sure if the wait staff was new but they were not on their "A" game. We sat outside since it was a lovely day and after 15 minutes of waiting... More

Boyfriend had the vegetarian chili (it was ok) and I can't remember what I had... I remember it was good. but not so memorable. The owner of the art shop next door was kind of weird. The place was quiet. It was ok at best.

Food was great, note that it is all vegetarian/vegan. I had the lasagne and it was beautiful. Good value and reasonably priced.

This place has a nice laid back Volcano Village vibe with pleasant garden seating if it isn't raining. the menu is simple --kind of hippy, fusion type food---but tasty with good simple soups and salads. I've enjoyed the quiche as well. Prices are reasonable.

We were immediately greeted by the owner and seated under a party type tent. We then experianced how a restaurant shoud not be operated. Water was surfed in plastic cups and the silver also was plastic. For a reataurant with a green and sustainable label inacceptable. The waitress was very stressed and did not have time to nicly place the... More

We are sorry these guests had such a difficult time at Café Ono. That day was the busiest our restaurant has ever been and had they gone anywhere in the village we heard all the restaurants were turning people away. So, that being the case, we did our best to accommodate the overflow of people trying to have lunch. The... More

The food is all organic, etc. and I suppose that's nice, but the taste was only average. Their bread was excellent and I did enjoy the soups. We both did entrees as opposed to sandwiches. I'd maybe return, but would definitely try a sandwich/soup combination instead of an entree. The service was slow but very friendly. I think there is... More

In regards to the comment: "The atmosphere is odd as it is in a cheesy trinket store. Most of the stuff is made in China and not even Hawaiian looking." I think the writer is confused about the location of a shop/restaurant down the road, because our café is in a beautiful fine art gallery with locally made art and... More
