Basic breakfast good price.

Very inexpensive breakfast. The price reflects the quality of the food. The food is not bad simply diner breakfast. Cheap and easy. If you like good coffee grab it elsewhere cuz it will never make it to the table and never be refilled. If it does make it a table and you do appreciate a good cup... read more

I had a nice country style breakfast that reminded me of home in Ohio. Service was timely and friendly.

Aye there 3 nights in a row and never had a bad meal. Saimin warmed is up and got the Kalua pig right out of the oven that was the best I had anywhere in Hawaii. Get the lilikoi cheesecake when they have it.

We were here for breakfast almost every day during our stay. Service was excellent, inexpensive, good portions, consistently excellent food. Stopped or Dinner at the bar and service, selection, the food, all wonderful. Local gathering to speak with the people and learn about the area and other attractions "off the beaten path". Wonderful place to enjoy a meal or drink.

Food was good, beer was cheap, and most importantly everybody was extremely friendly, staff and customers alike. Went there on a Sunday morning to watch some football and the rather small bar was full, but they were happy to serve us in the adjoining restaurant to include beer and drinks. Prices were very reasonable and everything we tried was good.

We were staying at a rental in Pahoa and this was a perfect place to grab breakfast at before heading out for the day. The food is excellent with really good portion sizes, the coffee is amazing, and the service was wonderful.

It's in the island stew! We stopped here after we arrived and before we bought our provisions for the cottage we rented. The services was great, Hawaii has the most friendliest people, not once did we experience bad service. The food was good, if you expect a culinary festival, don't go there.

Driving through Pahoa, we stopped at the Black Rock Cafe, not having a clue where else to go for good food. Not much to look at, but it is clearly a local favorite. We were pleased with the excellent food and service, with lots of good choices. And, there was plenty of parking space. It reminded me of a 1950s... More

It starts with an indifference towards the customer and followed by awful cooking. Our waitress seemed kind until our food came out all kapulu. We asked for a two egg loco and received a "single poached" egg. Medium patty turned into well done but that can be tricky to make in a turn and burn. The worst of all were... More
