We rarely go out to dinner, but this was one night where we didn't feel like cooking so we chose Ning's as we hadn't been there in a long time. We went in and sat down in this small restaurant and it was a long time before anyone came to help us. From where we sat, we could see three... More

Looking for lunch in Pahoa, Puna, we were not disappointed here. On the main street, homey and small, the food was plentiful, fresh, and flavorful.. They will make it as hot as you like. Reasonable prices and service was friendly too.

Our friends who live near Pahoa think this is one of two Pahoa restaurants worth eating in. Although I can't check the box for "one of the best meals" I've ever had, the Thai food here is excellent (and they will make it as mild or as hot as you like). Great deal for the price. I liked the seafood... More

I loved the fact that they serve "Thai spicy" versions of their food - the kind that cause most people severe distress. In my experience, too many Southeast Asian restaurants are overly cautious with the spiciness. At Ning's, there's no such fear.

We experienced their curry daily specials and they were fantastic! I had the Chicken Pumpkin Curry with brown rice and my husband had the Pork Ginger Curry with jasmine rice. Not only were the meals delicious but they were huge. Needless to say we didn't need anymore than the one meal that day. They were colorfully presented. The price was... More

Just like every other Thai restaurant in Any Town. Too large of a menu which just boils down to your choice of three curry sauces on three different kinds of protein. If you like Thai for its uniformity across establishments, here you go.

We took a detour, on our way from Volcano Village to Hilo, to eat at Ning's since we were craving some spicy food. But be careful when you ask them to make it hot. Their pad kee mow is absolutely outstanding and so is their summer rolls.

We stopped in for lunch today and we were delighted by the food. The pad Thai was spectacular and the waiter happily answered out questions about various ingredients. We will eat here again!

We only had a short stay in the Pahoa area, and my wife decided that she wanted Thai. There are two places that we saw in Pahoa. The first one didn't have anyone sitting in the restaurant. We thought that was a bad sign and went on to Ning's. Good choice! I'm a fan of Tom Yum soup, so that's... More

This is the most authentic and flavorful Thai food I have had outside of Thailand. Make a reservation, sometimes the wait for a table can be long. Bring your own alcohol but their Thai ice tea is excellent. Take out is every bit as good as eat in.
