My brother bought a house in the area and the kitchen hasn't been installed yet so eating out can get old. But Ning's is really good and we looked forward to going here. The curries, the coconut soup, the chicken basil dish...soooo good. And coming from the mainland mango and sticky rice is not always available or good. Not the... More

I'm not a big fan of Thai food, but I recently ate here and don't know why I didn't come here sooner. The food was excellent and for the price the portions are perfect. Very good food. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Whenever we visit Puna we make a trip to Nings for their great food and local ambience. The service is friendly and a window seat allows for great people watching along the Main Street in Pahoa.

Wow!! Nings has just topped our previous "best Thai food restaurant". We heeded previous travellers' warnings and turned the spiciness down a notch. (There is a note on each table that there are no refunds for "too spicy" food). The flavor of the food was excellent, with the subtle flavors of minor ingredients coming through as we like. Highly reviewed... More

We have eaten here many times and loved it. Now, the future is uncertain as the lava flow is headed straight for Pahoa, and many shops are closing. If Ning's survives the lava (Pele please stay away!) then you should definitely check this place out -- it's wonderful.

Ning's is a small, authentic, Thai restaurant on the main street of Pahoa, Hawaii. The food can be spiced from mild to "Thai hot". It is the melting pot for smart tourists, neo-hippie kids going back to the land on the local communes , and anyone just wanting a meal at a reasonable price.

Wonderful food and very friendly service make this a great place for dinner or lunch. Also a very good value. Authentically spicy as well, if you choose. Incredibly nice staff!

We rarely go out to dinner, but this was one night where we didn't feel like cooking so we chose Ning's as we hadn't been there in a long time. We went in and sat down in this small restaurant and it was a long time before anyone came to help us. From where we sat, we could see three... More

Looking for lunch in Pahoa, Puna, we were not disappointed here. On the main street, homey and small, the food was plentiful, fresh, and flavorful.. They will make it as hot as you like. Reasonable prices and service was friendly too.

Our friends who live near Pahoa think this is one of two Pahoa restaurants worth eating in. Although I can't check the box for "one of the best meals" I've ever had, the Thai food here is excellent (and they will make it as mild or as hot as you like). Great deal for the price. I liked the seafood... More
