This is the best in Hawaiian fresh fish--fried to perfection in the magical mysterious fish-frying machine way over against the wall. Huge portions! Fresh! The accompaniments are OK, the fries, the slaw, but the fish is the best I've ever had. They have a few decrepit tables and chairs, but we usually order ours "to go". We always go back... More

Love their fish! Skip the chips and definitely skip the col slaw, just buy the fried Ahi or Ono and get the hot, fresh potato chips at the Malama Market at the end of the parking lot and a side salad. Close to lunch time order ahead or plan to wait half an hour (the fish is worth it)

My son and I ate lunch here. He had been before and said it was great. It was we both ordered the 5 piece of fish and it was WAY more than we could eat at the time. He had the Ono and Mahi Mahi and I had the Cod and we shared but still had 3-4 pieces left and... More

We sought out this place based on Trip Advisor reviews. It was a bit out of our way, but we really enjoyed the excellent fish and chips! We each had an order and tried the Ono, Mai Mai, and the shrimp. They were very good with an outstanding thin, crispy breading! It was crisp without a lot of oil and... More

Great food and huge portions. I had the 5 piece fish and chips meal and it was enough food for two people. Reminded me of an old fashioned butcher shop ( in this case seafood ) that had an area set aside for serving good fresh food! Very clean and a courteous staff to boot!

Stopped here to take something home just as they were closing. Person working did not seemed pleased but she took care of us and even gave us a smile. My husband and I shared the 3 piece fish dinner and it was really good. Fish was light on batter and melted in mouth. Could not even finish entire dinner. Very... More

This place is kind of a dive, but well worth checking out. For $12 we got a 5 pc with waffle fries & coleslaw. It was over a lb of perfectly cooked Ono, enough for more than 2!! Kinda slow cuz the lady who runs it is all by herself, but who is in a hurry? It was well worth... More

Planing on eating at Subway next door when we notice this restaurant, and are we glad we eat there. The fish and chips are very good. We had a choice of Mahi Mahi or Ono - we had the Mahi Mahi. The fish were huge! The pieces seem to be 1.5" thick. Not greasy and had a good crunch. The... More

Small little place working hard. Under staffed and a bit grumpy, gosh should we apologize for coming in and making you work later? Turn off the open sign then. Fish is good, frying machine seems to keep oil strained and good. Try the Ono.

We enjoyed the crab cakes and went back a second time to have them as an appetizer. The fish was average and a little disappointing after all the raves on this site. This is a very busy little place and usually a wait as there is only one person working at a time. Glad the food is deep fried as... More
