This is an unassuming spot in a small local shopping center, but it has FRESHLY CAUGHT fish cooked right in front of you. Simple menu but you can choose the type of fish you want from the current catch. Inexpensive but priceless, if you are a fish lover.

Well, I had expected a handmade beer batter but it was not. Batter is light and not greasy, but the shape and the evenness of the deep fried pieces remind me of industrial production, not craftsmanship. Fish is fresh and waffles are great. Service is low, especially around lunch time. Usually, one orders to go. There are some tables inside... More

Pahoa Fresh Fish is a simple joint, but don't judge a book by its cover. This place has fresh, onolicous fish that is mouth watering, can't-put-it-down good. The portions are big and worth the wait when they are busy. It's obvious why the locals flock here, so check it out.

This is a true hole in the wall. The store front sign could easily be missed if one didn't look carefully. It's just located in this not so impressive strip mall. However, this place does fry up some delicious fish, shrimp and chips. The fish were these big thick beautiful pieces of Mahi & the the shrimps were more like... More

This is the best in Hawaiian fresh fish--fried to perfection in the magical mysterious fish-frying machine way over against the wall. Huge portions! Fresh! The accompaniments are OK, the fries, the slaw, but the fish is the best I've ever had. They have a few decrepit tables and chairs, but we usually order ours "to go". We always go back... More

Love their fish! Skip the chips and definitely skip the col slaw, just buy the fried Ahi or Ono and get the hot, fresh potato chips at the Malama Market at the end of the parking lot and a side salad. Close to lunch time order ahead or plan to wait half an hour (the fish is worth it)

My son and I ate lunch here. He had been before and said it was great. It was we both ordered the 5 piece of fish and it was WAY more than we could eat at the time. He had the Ono and Mahi Mahi and I had the Cod and we shared but still had 3-4 pieces left and... More

We sought out this place based on Trip Advisor reviews. It was a bit out of our way, but we really enjoyed the excellent fish and chips! We each had an order and tried the Ono, Mai Mai, and the shrimp. They were very good with an outstanding thin, crispy breading! It was crisp without a lot of oil and... More

Great food and huge portions. I had the 5 piece fish and chips meal and it was enough food for two people. Reminded me of an old fashioned butcher shop ( in this case seafood ) that had an area set aside for serving good fresh food! Very clean and a courteous staff to boot!
