Of all the restaurants in Pahoa, Kaleo's is the one with the best looking location. It's food is good, there's music, and the wait staff is attractively dressed, so it's a favorite for romantic dinners and family celebrations. Even the car park has a helping hand for you.

We ate at Kaleo's on Thanksgiving Day. The service was great and the appetizers were stellar. The entrees fell a bit short that day, but I suspect that was because the older members of our group went with the Thanksgiving meal instead of the tried and true dishes the kitchen staff is used to making. My suggestion is hit up... More

Great local food and drink, not far from the lava flows. Live music on the weekends and excellent service. A laid back, wonderful time.

The food was good. Some creative things on the menu, well prepared and the service was very friendly. Parking can be a little cramped but they have someone in the parking lot to help. The atmosphere is casual but not at all a dive. I liked it.

The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant was recommended by a chef we befriended. We ordered the pork wontons, fish curry stew to share, and a salad described as greens with blue cheese, nuts etc. The wontons were good. The salad arrived; a mound of, I assume, bagged spring mix. The aforementioned had not been culled through or... More

There are not too many places in cute little Pahoa village and most are cuisine-specific so Kaleo's is a perfect for those who want a varied menu. Many wonderful choices. I had Asian stir fry and it was delish, super fresh veggies. My girlfriend had the steak salad and she is still raving about it.

We were looking for local food and were told we could get some really good Kalua Pork there. The restaurant located in the small town of Pahoa has free valet parking. You can make reservations but we just stopped by and got a table right away. The service is very good and the food even better. We ate Kalua Pork,... More
