We came here after visiting the green sand beach and had your typical plate lunch. Good was good and 1/2 potions were plenty for lunch. Would come here again if in the area. Their deserts looked yummy.

Good home made eats, very casual. Our server served, cashiered, and bussed and had it all under control during the lunch rush. Great pies and cake. Fish and chips, local fare popular with locals. Not fancy but fun! Sometimes local music to sing along!

The service is very friendly. We needed a coffee filter for our hotel coffee maker and our waitress just gave us one. There is no alcohol but you can bring a bottle of wine. I liked the grilled fish with steamed rice. There is an amazing selection of pies. Very family friendly.

We stopped here on our way back from an early morning excursion to Kilauea Volcano, we stopped for breakfast. Its a quaint Hawaiian diner with local art on the walls (Very cool, wish I had more room in my suitcase) The Lilikoi Lemonade was delicious!! I had the 3 egg omelet with home fries & hubby had the bacon/ham/egg breakfast.... More

It is a simple diner with really good food. We had the pulled pork sandwich and the stuffed papaya with macadamia nut chicken salad. We really enjoyed both of them. We also had some of their delicious pies. This is a convenient stop on the way to the Volcano National Park or for us, after a hike to the Green... More

Southern most restaurant with local fare, a bit over sweetened lemonade, and some nice pies. I had the fried chicken loco moco which was very good and my friend had the stuffed papaya which he said was delicious. Atmosphere is your normal quaint Hawaiian restaurant. Homey feel.

I make it a point to stop and eat at Hana Hou whenever I drive around the south part of the Island. They have great lilokoi lemonade. Their pulled pork sandwich is excellent as are their baked goods.

I loved the Loco Moco, it was very filling and quite flavorful. The prices are very cheap. Like the title says, its a greasy spoon, and probably the best spot to stop between Volcano and Kona. However the fish and chips was not very good, my wife found the fish quality to be poor and the batter not good enough... More

Our experience differed somewhat from the copy in their ad. A burned out, haggard-looking waitress, when asked what kind of pie they had, replied, 'I don't know what we have, they are in the case up there' gesturing to the front of the restaurant. So I went up to look. Some were whole pies, some were single slices. I wanted... More
