We stopped here on the way to the black sand beach. Picked up a salted caramel bar, a chocolate peanut butter brownie and a passionfruit bar. All very yummy. No crumbs left!

Awesome small restaurant in Naalehu; the food was great, prices are okay (approx. 10$-15$/ dish. the macadamia nut chicken and the fish and chips are really good. There was a band when we went on a Friday night (bottle of blue); awsome. Sit back, relax and eat!

Hana Hou was a nice place to stop on our way back from Pu'uhonua o Honaunau. While the food was not extraordinary, it was good and you get bragging rights for eating at the southern most restaurant in the United States. The service was friendly as with most of Hawaiian restuarants. The decor was very island breezy.

Good points: - tasty food - healthy food choices - good options for alternative sides - quaint, retro feel Bad points: - service was slow - saw server twice and she never came back except to bring check - average experience

We stopped here after visiting green sands beach, on our way to Punalu'u beach. Once you've been to the southernmost point of the U.S., what better way to celebrate than by eating at the southernmost restaurant? It's a nice little hole-in-the-wall restaurant with good food and reasonable prices. I had the island style gravy burger-good, "dirty" food!

It is a small place with most excellent food, and local character. It is small, but most every dish we tried was excellent. I loved fish and chips as well as pulled pork. Their soup was also tasty - very homemade.

I had read about this place in Sunset magazine. Since we were planning a trip to Hawaii, we decided we would stop here on our way to Volcanoes Park. We were told they were featured in Food Network magazine too. We arrived on a weekday after breakfast and it wasn't busy. Cute and funky decor. Friendly service and allowed an... More
