Great little place, generous portions!

A great stop. Good comfort food in a diner type setting. Portions are huge, share pancakes or the loco moco with someone. Pancakes are bigger than your head! The POG is great too. Very reasonable pricing.

Great food, giant portions! We went on a recommendation and are glad we did. Our server was friendly and so were the locals we chatted with. The cafe has a small, but cozy atmosphere. If you love pancakes, the size of these will feed you for several days. If your looking for a Loco Moco, try The Big Mok! Bring... More

I am perplexed by the high ratings for this restaurant. I used my phone to find a good restaurant in Waimea and this is what came up. Maybe it was because we were one of the last visitors before they closed the kitchen but this was poorly cooked food. I had the grilled pork - poor quality meat - very... More

CASH ONLY. Good breakfast spot in Waimea. Huge portions & great value in this old school Hawaii eatery. My recommendation: order breakfast food even if it's lunchtime. Make sure you check their hours before you go. They are not open the whole day. Located in a mini-strip on the north side of the road after Merriman's (if you're coming up... More

Best breakfast on the island. If you want big portions of Hawaiian food you must come here! Small mom & pops diner style with all the morning necessities like omelettes, bacon & coffee as well as all the Local favorites like loco moco (they have like 5 different kinds), spam, & even soups & stews. Pancakes here are nice &... More

This place is amazing! Probably the best breakfast on Hawaii Island! The quality of food is well above average and the portions are HUGE! I've never seen such big pancakes anywhere! Two pancakes will feed three people for sure! No only are they huge, they taste great (either plain or with fruit toppings)! I was also very impressed with the... More

Hearty appetites are necessary to finish any breakfast that includes their platter-sized pancakes (plain or with fruit topping). An omelette that came with hash browns and pancakes was easily enough for two. Steak and eggs was also a large meal with toast. Diners frequently line up outside waiting for a table, but it's well worth it.

Bring a hearty appetite to this limited seating, cash only eatery (there's an ATM on site). Located in picturesque Waimea the Hawaiian Style Café is an authentic eatery busting at the seams as it continues to gain the popularity with tourists that it already has with locals. Forget the healthy options set before you at resort buffets, when you dine... More

We were here just a few days ago and decided to come back for more! Had the pulehu mix plate with the honey fried chicken and the mix plate (chose the kalbi and the sweet pork). Fried rice was so so. But the meats were all so good. Might have to sweeten up the service though. But they warm up... More

Enormous portions of Hawaiian (Korean-influenced) meat and egg breakfasts and lunches. Total local feeling with very courteous and quick service. It is worth adventuring for one of the "loco" dishes, which are delicious and rich. If necessary, the pancakes could double as a spare tire on your trip to the Mauna Kea summit. Take the leftovers home with you -... More
