Dropping in for an early or late breakfast here always presents a conundrum.. how do I prevent ordering too much food! This small but packed little cafe just west of Waimea town always draws a nice breakfast and lunch crowd to sit around the big counter or one of the dozen or two booths and tables. The menu is basically... More

We drove up from the Hilton and it was well worth the 30 minute drive. They have breakfasts that remind you of your moms! A lot of local Hawaiian dishes. The banana, macadamia nut pancakes were amazing and HUGE. Probably the best breakfast I have ever had! Takes cash only but they have an ATM machine.

We were told to go here by David who runs Ohana Carver's in Waikoloa Bay. Best advice ever! I got the Chicken Loca Mocha... which is something I would never eat at home, but I figured why not... I'm on vacation! There were definitely leftovers! My husband ordered pancakes which are the size of a manhole cover! The food was... More

We travel with 4 teenagers and often times find it hard to experience the foods from the area and fill them up without going broke. The Hawaiian Style Cafe was a perfect place to try local foods, not break the budget and fill their bellies. Come hungry and leave happy! We went twice while on The Big Island....Kalua Pork Hash....amazing!... More

It looks like a dive, and tastes like home cooked Saturday breakfast. The pancakes were described as the size of a hubcap, they're pretty close to a 12" diameter!! Super fluffy and tasty! One lets were good as well as the hash browns. SHARE your meal! Visit the super nice lady next door in her shop while you wait for... More

This is a must when coming through Waimea. The food is really good and I have never seen such large portions! Servers are great too. This is a small Resturant and is just off the main drag. Bring a little money and a large appetite.

Touring though Waimea we wanted to eat local food so we stopped at Hawaiian Style Cafe we were glad we did! Pancakes can't get much bigger, no room on the plate. I tried the Kalua pork hash with fried rice and it was very good. Broke the mouth kine food, you won't be disappointed.

The pancakes are enormous and outstanding. All the food was extremely good and the service quick and friendly. This is definitely a place to stop on the big island.

We stayed at the Waikolo Hilton resort and drove up to Waimea for an unplanned dental visit. While in town we sought out "the best" breakfast joint recommendations from the dentist office receptionist. She had high praise for the Hawaiian Style Cafe (and it was on our way back out of town). We stopped and the first thing we noticed... More
