If your looking for good food in large quantities with local flavor and atmosphere then this is the place for you. Our party ordered breakfast and lunch here. The breakfast came with Portuguese sausage (something new for us) and huge head sized pancakes. I had the poke which was so delicious. The restaurant has a diner atmosphere with more locals... More

Not only are the portions huge, they are very yummy. The lunches were good, but I think breakfast is the best option. Go out of your comfort zone and go local. The service was a bit slow, but they were packed and the staff was always on the go.

Gotta have pancakes. Amazing breakfast local style. I keep it simple with eggs and potugese sausage.

We never leave hungry:). On this visit my husband had the loco moco, it had a large hamburger patty, rice, brown gravy and sautéed onions, with two over easy eggs on top. I had the breakfast pancake special - Haupia (coconut pudding) pancakes. The pancakes are the size of a hub cap, I only ordered one...no way could I eat... More

Who makes a pancake the size of the plate? Hawaiian Style Cafe. Don't eat dinner the night before because portion sizes are huge as others have mentioned. This place is a slice of island life. while you are waiting to be seated, you noticed all of the locals coming and going into this restaurant. If the locals go, its good.... More

Had been warned about the portion sizes and when the waitress recommended a half house special loco moco I was really glad. Can't imagine what person could eat the full size portion. Very large house prepared hamburger patty on brown rice, brown gravy and sautéed onions, two fried eggs on top. First time I've had this Hawaiian staple and it... More

We love the true, Hawaiian, laid back, family types of places. If you are worried about how long you wait, then go stay in your stuffy hotel or to Oahu. We have had loco moco almost everywhere we can, but this was one of the tops, and could feed a giant. The flavor of all of the items were yummy...pancakes... More

Food was good. With the exception of the Hostess, service was good. Price is right. We had a pretty long wait. Was it worth it? Yes! Fried rice was outstanding as was the Portugese Sausage. Pancakes were average. I saw photos of some type of Banana/Macadamia nut type deal, it wasn't on the menu though. Husband had Chicken fried steak... More

We went for breakfast after a local suggested Hawaiian Style. The food was ok. Nothing that would bring me back - its just ok. They are noted for their big pancakes which are decent. I had the eggs and chx fried steak. My hubby had the corned beef hash with fried rice and he loved it. Daughter had bisquits and... More
