We are here twice and drove 30 miles out of our way for this local hotspot. Great food, great price, and great hospitality. Only thing you should be aware of-cash only.

Might as well get this out of the way...the portions are hugemongous! That, and the food is very tasty as well. The Pancakes could be used as a barn door and they are light and fluffy and very good. The chicken cutlet was perfectly breaded and perfect. The Kalbi barbeque was just as you would hope. Even the macaroni salad... More

We had to come back to this place again on our next trip to the big island. Brought our daughters for Christmas family vacation. Food was very tasty with large portions. The pancakes are enormous. The loco Moco, the big moc, was fabulous. We always leave with leftovers and eat for late night snacks

Great selection of this Hawaiian classic. They have the classic but also about 50 alternative formulations. Huge portions. Usually a wait but it was only 10 min or so on the day we went. Worth the trip if you want to eat good local food.

Came in for breakfast, ordered the "Big Mok". Small town Cafe style dining for bkfst or lunch. Lots of rice and good gravy on the MOK dishes, omelettes were big. Plates are full of food and you won't leave hungry. Highly recommend making a morning stop on your way through Waimea

Only order one. They are huge. This is a greasy spoon place with food and prices to match. Coffee was terrible and pancake was out of this world.

Very busy place so expect to wait for a table. But the servers and the cooks move fast. Within ten minutes of your order there is generally food in front of you...and lots of it! We visited ten years ago and when we came back to the big island made a point of coming here for the loco moco and... More

First off, the service was very quick. The food was fresh off the farm. The waitresses were very friendly. The amount of food they give you is huge! The pancakes were the size of a dinner plate! And all of the food was delicious, especially the house loco moco. Expect to wait though, there is always a line but it... More

We were in kamuela overnight and read great things about this place, including the loco. Ordered the home made version, and it was one of the best ever. Just enough gravy for every bite, good flavor for the gravy and some onions on top for a little extra. Awesome! My wife got a spinach and tomato omelet which she said... More

We were excited to return. Brought two friends with us. We told them about all the great pictures on the walls of celebrities that had been there. The walls full of currencies from all over the world. All the ambience that in addition to the food made it special. Well now it's just a hole in the wall diner. Good... More
