Extra loud!!!!! Be aware this is not a place to have a great conversation, unless you want to yell like a mad man. The food and service are fantastic, not cheap, not expensive, average for Hawaii,

Good food but only had fish tacos and "fish bites". Small place, good selection of house brewed beers. Good looking t-shirts. "Local" atmosphere. Small place. Hard to park. Park next to church down the street (coming from Kawaihae). Highly recommended.

Went for lunch with my family of 5. Service was slow (we got there right when they opened) but the beer and food selection was good. Be ware-the waitress looks like she's texting, but actually this is how she takes down your order. :) Food was good, but not fantastic. The chimichangas are your best bet!

Nice artistic beer, lovely combinations with cacao- salt- mac nuts etc. Loved them all. Food was especially fresh and good and would take me back for a second visit. Funky environs - suitable to the Big Island-- over all would definitely recommend!

Stopped for the Mexican food, stayed for the beer. The Red Sea & Cacao beer is seasonal, so you best get here quickly! That isn't to say the food isn't delicious, because it is! I had the pork taco and it was sooo good, I had to have another beer. 😃. Seriously, this is such a little gem. We will... More

The six of us in our party all agreed our lunch at the Big Island Brewhaus was the best food (& drinks!) we had on the island. So much that on our last day we drove from Hilo on way to Kona airport to get our last meal but they were closed for renovations!!! How disappointing! The 6 of us... More

I'm embarrassed to say that even though this brew'haus' was recommended to us, we nearly drove past it because it looked like nothing special from the outside. How many times do I need to re-learn this lesson. It it weren't for having just stepped off a Blue Hawaiian helicopter on the most gorgeous day (even the pilot was gushing), this... More

If you are in the Waimea area in the northern section of the big island, this place is a must to stop in for great food, and good craft beers... They some very tasty and unique items on the menu... Worth checking out.

Anytime I see a local brewery on Trip Advisor, I know I can dupe my husband into going. He likes craft brews and I like delicious food, which he likes also, but mention the word "brewery" and anything else that follows is lost. Thanks to another review, we got the fish bites and kahlua pig on romaine. Mmmm mmmm oh... More

My Wife and I are 30s and frequent the Big Island on an annual basis. Our Hotel, Hapuna/Mauna Kea doesn't have much for dinner. We elected to try out this Brewhaus and were stunned!! Definitely get the Kalua pig lettuce wraps and fish bites for appetizers. The beer selection is really good and tasty. Live music on Tues/Thurs with a... More
