Nice lunch after tour of Parker Ranch

Best beer on the Island of Hawaii. Wife and I loved the "Tall Dark and Manderin" a rich chocolatey Porter with subtle hints of orange, and a smoothness that belies its 45 IBU rating. Fish taco very good, and black beans extraordinary. Our son and daughter-in-law did a 5 sample taster. So hard... read more

I loved this brewery for a few reasons. One, the food was really excellent. We had the Kekela Greens, Fish Bites, and tacos. All were from local ingrediants and I loved that they thank all their suppliers right on their menu. Second off, this is still a craft brew house and have really creative brews to try. We tried the... More

We came for a late lunch and some beers after a hike. The décor is lively and fun. Unfortunately service was really slow, and food was just average. The fish tacos didn't have much filling and were bland. The Pork Nachos were just okay, and the Chicken Quesadilla was pretty good (hard to not make a good quesadilla...). Beers tried... More

We stopped for an early dinner and the place was already very busy on a Saturday around 5:45pm. We sat outside which was great because it was cool and breezing (maybe even sweatshirt weather). Kekela salad was great, and the table shared green chili stew, fish bites, and black bean falafel nachos (bb falafel is amazing). We had hoped to... More

We came here twice on our holiday to the Big Island, we loved it here! The beers are all delicious and they do a really good sampler of 5 x 3.5 oz (~100 ml) beers (you get to choose which beers you want) which we both had on our first visit - would definitely recommend. All the food is locally... More

First off I have to say, I had the best chimichanga ever at this restaurant, which may have clouded my judgement with its deliciousness. We were feeling pretty tapped out from all the expensive restaurants in Waimea so I was glad to see cheap prices again. It was pretty packed and we almost left, but the owner grabbed us and... More

This brewhaus is a find! We were a little apprehensive when we drove in the parking lot and viewed the outside. However, once we were inside, the feeling of friendship and caring was evident. Our waiter talked to us about the draft beers (all produced on premises) and he explained the qualities of each. We started with the sampler (five... More

The brewhaus is on the very busy Mamalahowa hwy. There are not very many parking spaces, but we found one. We first went inside, but decided to sit outside because it felt like a steam bath inside and it was rather dark inside with not much room. Anyway we sat outside at one of the picnic tables and were promptly... More

First trip there for the three of us. We went there for lunch and found seats at the last open indoor table. We avoided the covered outdoor tables as the weather looked a bit too threatening (rain and wind). The atmosphere is local, rustic and friendly. The patrons were a combo of locals (seated mostly at the bar) and tourists.... More

We had lunch here one day and the service was good and there are plenty of beers to try. They do a tasting beer platter of 5 small beers to try. The food is very good, however if you sit outside the traffic noise can be loud.
