Solid Thai Offereing

Charley's serves up better than average if not outstanding Thai food. We had a noodle dish and a rice dish. Both were seasoned well, very fresh, served up piping hot, and plentiful. Not worth a special trip, but we will definitely eat there again when we are in town.

My mother lives in Waimea and complains there are no good restaurants. But I have to disagree. Living in Chicago, I've had my fair share of great thai food and I have to say this place delivered! My party had the following and each cleaned their plates....beef stay, pad Thai, fried curry rice, green curry, yellow curry and mango and... More

Our (admittedly single) experience at this Waimea mall restaurant was positive. We had summer rolls (loved the mint), red curry with chicken and pad na, all were good. The curry was our fav, the level of spice just right. Serving sizes were large, prices reasonable for the Big Island, and the service, although just a bit slow (only a single... More

After reading reviews here and on other review sites, we didn't try this place until one in our party insisted he wanted Thai food. We were pleasantly surprised--seated promptly, decent service and the food was quite good. I judge all Thai food by the panang chicken curry so that's what I ordered. Would have like a vegetable in it other... More

We visited this place for lunch and our orders were taken and delivered quickly. The food, although not the best Thai I've ever had, was good for the money and there was a good amount of it. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick lunch spot.

I was initially very happy to find this little restaurant in the back of the Queen's Shopping Center but wasn't entirely pleased by what I had. The menu is fairly extensive and all the usual fare is included. The spring rolls were pretty good but it kind of went down hill from there. The noodle soup was only fair and... More

If you like cooking, make your Pad Thai at home!!! This is nothing to write home about, not even a review, but I thought I would let you know that if you like good food, this is not the place, better drive a little more and go to the Fish and Hog, (that is FOOD!!!!)

Charley's is located in the back of the Queen's Shops at Waikoloa. The decor is pleasant, and the food is authentic and plentiful. Prices are very reasonable given the inflated tabs you expect in the area. The menu is extensive, and the small listing of combination plates provides a good variety of options to sample several specialties. The chef is... More

Just had dinner there and the food was good with the prices quite reasonable. I thought the noodle soup was a not a good imitation of the Vietnamese pho (beef noodle soup) but was edible. The spring rolls were somewhat average - too much cabbage. Overall, I would come back but would order different dishes.
