Last night we went to the Mauna Lani to hear live music at Mountain Thunder Coffee. The local singer/guitar player who plays Wed-Sat nights was wonderful & our drinks were good, but pricey. Worth the experience though. He highly recommended Red Water Cafe in Waimea. We are staying at Waikoloa so not too bad of a drive and boy was... More

We enjoyed our food and the service was excellent. I was prepared to be disappointed. The Red Water has taken over the space that Fuji Mamas used to be in. 5 Years ago when we were here it was our favorite restaurant. Red water is just as good. The menu is interesting, portions are huge (as the waitress warned us... More

We were in Waimea 4 nights and ate here 2 of those.. Really really good food the first night we had a sashimi roll special super good and big enough to share. Second night we split the beet salad, the Fuji roll, and our entree was Ono with basil mashed potatoes ..all 3 deserve 5 stars. Can be crowded but... More

Best food on the Big Island, hands down. I often play Bass or guitar on Frida nights, but my wife and I decided to go there and experience it as customrers. Service can't be beat. Our waiter Cheech was one of the best waiters I've ever had. Great for date night or family meal. Reservations recommended, especially during winter. Friday... More

I ordered the ribeye and it was cooked to perfection! My waitress Amanda was absolutely delightful and the bartender Misty made great drinks! Definitely coming back.

We stumbled upon this gem after a morning of horseback riding. Very eclectic menu with something for everyone. The decor was fun and we had a wonderful time! The service was also amazing.

My husband and I had dinner here while honeymooning in Kona. It was one of our top meals all vacation. Food was incredible. But most importantly, our server Jeff was just awesome. He was so great we thought he was the owner! Apps, entrees and desserts were beautifully presented and prepared. And the place is so cool. If we lived... More

Went with a local who knew the place served great food and we weren't disappointed. Large, tasty servings, super friendly wait staff, very accommodating. Loved the large menu -- everything looked tempting.

First time we have had dinner here, it is usually lunch. The dinner menu is extensive, the happy hour menu was a fantastic deal, $5.00 pupus and $5.00 selected drinks, pupus were hot and fresh, drinks were a real buy. We had the machong, it was killer. Good size portions compared to its competitor across the street plus the prices... More
