Unexpected Deliciousness

Loved the size and taste of the sushi rolls. Mind you it is not traditional Japanese style sushi but California fancy rolls. Also, the steaks are delicious and large. Really worth the money.

My girlfriend and I stopped for an early dinner before a show we were going to. The place was full and we did not have reservations......luckily there were two seats at the bar. The fresh fish was awesome! Friendly staff and great bartender! Weekend nights reservations a must...

We defaulted to Red Water Cafe as we were looking for late lunch (2:20pm) and they were the only place still open for lunch. We got a warm welcome even though the kitchen closes at 2:30...and as a side bene our food came FAST, hot and delicious. Clean and friendly and we didnt feel rushed. A+ service.

Super fresh and awesome service. The food was innovative and tasty. The food used mostly local sources and you could tell. The real star was the service. Our waiter was super informative and incredibly friendly. I would definitely go back again.

We drove over from Kona to check out Red Water Cafe after reading glowing reviews, and we were not disappointed. Everything, from the tomatoes to the salmon to the salad dressing, was incredibly fresh and innovatively prepared. It appears that the Red Water takes pride in their locally-sourced menu, and rightfully so. We are going back soon. Might have given... More

The bowl of edamame served as a nibble with our beers set just the right tone for the evening. There we're many options and everything was delicious. Service was great. Will definitely return here next time we are in Waimea.

Is Red water Cafe a sushi bar, asian restaurant or steak house? Food was slightly better than average but eclectic - as was the atmosphere. Server was enthusiastic and professional. A good option to Merriman's which is much more expensive although this place is not cheap - none of the nicer restaurants are in Hawaii.

This was a great find, with great fresh food and delicious drinks. The meals we had were very simple but wonderfully flavorful, and the prices were reasonable. The cocktail I had was an herbal/floral type of mixture, and just out of this world! Be sure to get out to Waimea to try this gem.

Had the steak in brandy sauce. It was pretty good, not great, but was cooked to medium rare, as I'd asked. The service was wonderful. My friend brought her young son, who wasn't really hungry so didn't order any food for himself, and the waitress was fine. I've started, if I remember, to bring my own stainless container for leftovers,... More

My wife and I had a meal of sushi and we were really impressed with the ingenuity, taste, and portions!
