We were a giant party of family reuniting in Kohala with lots of kids of varying ages. We were looking for a place nearby that could accommodate our large party where we would be free of worry about keeping kids quiet for long stretches and ensuring everyone found something they'd be happy to eat, without breaking the bank. Pau did... More

Every time I come back for a visit on thr big island, I am always looking for something other than the typical local food. I stumbled upon Pau restaurant and was extremely surprised with the choices they offered. The pizza, title sandwich with homemade bread and Habari cheese was delicious. The superfood, salad with quinoa, Edamame and feta was also... More

The pizza here was great. The restaurant is easy to miss but it is a great local spot! It also wasn't very expensive. Try the garlic bread!

We drove up from Mauna Lani for lunch. It was about a 25-minute drive, not too bad. Pau is tucked back in the shopping center with Merriman's and has limited parking, so you may have to circle the lot a time or two. We shared the pepperoni pizza (as my husband is not an adventurous eater), and it was delicious!... More

Okay when we walked in we were craving pizza. We saw pre-made dough and said..oh no this is going to be terrible...We drove thirty five minutes to get here, so we were committed. We ordered the whole hog(bacon, pepperoni, salami, ham, sausage).and had some soup..tomato bisque. Everything was great.pizza was crispy on the bottom, the dough had good chew, and... More

I don't like pizza but their pizza special drew me in. Their arugula, onion, tomato pizza and super food salad was phenomenal and a great price! We also enjoyed their mushroom risotto seasoned with fresh herbs. The staff was also very friendly and cheerful.

Really great food and value for money. Very fresh, tasty and healthy salads paired with perfect thin crust pizza. I wish I could find a place like this at home!

Pau is a quaint café in the sleepy little country town of Waimea (Kamuela), Hawaii. It's hidden away in the back of a small business center- an unassuming little gem, which in all honesty, is part of its charm. When you go to Pau, you almost feel like you've found a secret spot that only a lucky few have had... More

We stopped in here for lunch and had their daily pizza and salad special, three slices and a side salad. Both were good, although the crust was a little too hard, almost like it was premade. The service was fast and very friendly. If they did their pizza crust differently, I would give them 5 stars. It seems hard to... More

We visited Pau for the first dinner of our February vacation week, and we liked it so much we went back for our last dinner. On both our visits, a friendly welcome set the tone for a relaxed and very pleasant meal. Everyone working there was smiling and genuinely happy to see us, and all the other diners were having...
