Fabulous Dinner Spot With Ambience and Great Food

My wife and I enjoyed dinner here on a Saturday evening. We read up on the parking and slipped into the back parking lot around 6PM finding several spots open. Enjoyed delicious salads and good wine, as well as an excellent beef stir fry and ahi entree. Yes, we had dessert. The berry cobbler... read more

This is a really beautiful space and oh that tree! I ordered the $48 fillet and joked with the server that I liked it RARE I mean really rare! Well, it came and it was well done and at $48 a hit I was not going to say gee that's okay so I asked for it to be redone. Well,... More

The best restaurant in Kona. Don't tell anyone. Eggs Benedict is excellent. Pulled Pork is huge and soooo good. Hard to find, parking can be tough, do yourself a favor and search it out.

This is a gem! Up the hill and away from tacky tourism of Alii Drive. The setting is spectacular in a small hamlet of artists' galleries. Splendid food, world-class execution of local/authentic traditional fare. Sorry it took us too long to find you!

Went for a Wednesday breakfast. Servers were attentive and friendly from the start. My wife and I ordered two different types of French toast and split them. Both were excellent and quite distinct from each other. Coffee was rich and strong but not bitter. We will return for dinner for sure. There was not a single misstep in food prep... More

Escaped the chaos of Sunday in Kona and headed up to Holuakoa Cafe, a peaceful, shady haven of calm with wonderful food. I had the best tuna-melt I've ever had: perfect house-made focaccia, tuna salad made with fresh tuna, fresh local lettuces, not too-much cheese, and blissfully pickle free. He had catch of the day fresh salad, with perfectly cooked... More

By far, one of the places I recommend to people and come and eat at. Very nice place and menu is by far one of the best varieties. Up the road from Kailua Kona in a little town of Holualoa, no more than a 15 - 20 minute drive from downtown area. And the climate is very comfortable and can... More

We have eaten at the Holuakoa Gardens 5-6 times over the past five years. We visit the Big Island during the Christmas season and this restaurant is always on the top of our list. It has a wonderful exotic island decor. The koi troughs have intrigued our boys as they've grown up. Our 14 year old teenage son, who is... More

We had the braised beef; It was so good that words cannot express how good it was! My wife had the pasta and it was really good but she polished off some of my beef and yet, I was still full from this portion. Waiter was pleasent, chef gets everything fresh and all veggie are home grown, a must visit... More
