Killer pulled pork!

Terrific brunch! The best: My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich (open face on corn bread). Frankly, about as good as I've ever had. Not too sweet, perfect smokey flavor, and an amazing cole slaw w/fennel. I helped her a lot😎 My catch of the day salad was equally as good! Asparagus, the... read more

We've lunched here several times and they have never failed to impress us with their food ~ extraordinary! ~ creative turns on regular (sounding) food ~ highly recommend the pulled pork sandwich. When it was served I said that I surely "could not possibly eat all that"! Then, it was SO delicious that I just plowed through ~ loved it.... More

I highly recommend this cafe/restaurant. Very good quality ingredients. My braised brisket was outstanding, my wife's fish was somewhat overcooked which was a pity. Service was extremely gracious. We can't wait to go back - best meal we had on the big island.

I had been to the cafe part of this establishment ten years ago and remembered it as a lovely breakfast spot, so chose it as the place for my birthday dinner in July. I ordered the $45 steak. This was the worst cooked, worst cut of meat I have ever eaten. It was stringy, fatty, and the chef clearly had... More

First of all, it's not cheap. But it may easily become one of your all time favorite dining experiences. The cafe is set in a sunken lushly covered garden with koi ponds and sculptures. It's so peaceful you could fall asleep in your soup. The food and service are to match. Delicious, exquisite, carefully prepared, each dish is a total... More

My boyfriend and I had dinner in the restaurant for our one year anniversary and I could not tell you how AMAZING it was. We had a beautiful corner booth tucked away in the gardens with a mountain and ocean view. The foot is incredible - we started with the brie and toast plate and I had the beef stir... More

Unfortunately we didnt visit this cafe until the last day on the big island :-(. We had a few double espresso,s each, a bagel and a little pastry and met the wonderful little 'bob hoskins' the cat. Highly recommend and only regret is not finding it sooner. It is attached to a restaurant which we didnt get to visit but... More

Enjoyed meeting friends here for lunch on our last visit so wanted to return here to eat. Nice place to eat off the beaten path, cooler here due to the higher elevation. Had the Holuakoa Grilled Chicken Salad Sandwich and Fresh island Ahi Tuna Melt with fresh local and organic produce. Was great. Would recommend for something different.

Each time I go to the Big Island I make sure I stop here for a meal or two. This is the best restaurant I have ever been too. The food is always so fresh and delicious and the environment is so enchanting.

Everytime we hit the Big Island, we stop here for a couple of meals. This restaurant is up maulka above Kona area and is set in a jungle-like atmosphere. We basically come back for the pork sandwich on cornbread each time. Finally tried the fish this time, and loved that too. Kids love this place because they have a koi... More
