So so

Went to this cafe on the recommendation of a local. Limited parking on the street. Walked into the store & saw a menu board with bagel or croissant sandwiches. Bagels in cooler were Costco brand. We're going to leave when we saw people sitting outside to the right. Looked much more appealing but... read more

We went to this restaurant because it is recommended in "Big Island: Revealed". The setting and the staff are very nice but the food is poorly prepared, even I would cook fish better (it was super dry and the garnish didn't seem very imaginative or interesting). For a nearly $40 entree, we really expected something more impressive.

Found out about this restaurant in a travel book and based on reviews we searched it out. It is perched on the hillside above Kona in a tiny town. Parking looks like it can be a pain but we go there early and got one of the few spots out front. Super fresh food and lovely outdoor garden seating atmosphere.... More

Enjoy a great meal in a quiet tropical garden. We sought this restaurant out because of a TripAdvisor review. It was a great choice. The day after Thanksgiving we were among just a few other diners. The servicer was very attentive and helpful in making great menu choices. There were four of us and we all had different entrees so... More

We visited this little city for its art walk (which isn't really worth the trip). The restaurant has a lovely outdoor dining area and tasty food. Our waiter was definitely the weak link. He didn't tell us about the specials although I saw other dinner with a second menu. Despite the fact that I clearly and repeatedly told him which... More

I have been to the restaurant several times. I took my a small group today for a birthday lunch. The setting is a tropical garden with a peek a boo ocean view. The service is outstanding. The service may seem a bit slow but they cook to order and truly want you to relax and enjoy your meal. The food... More

Stumbled into this place, heard there was a good place to eat up in this mauka town and wow. The menu seems a tad limited for vegetarians but everything was very well prepared from locally sourced ingredients. I had a Middle Eastern Plate and wasn't expecting much, since I was in Hawaii but everything was very fresh and tasty. Friendly... More

We had wonderful breakfast here of cinnamon French toast and a mushroom and arugula omelette in a very pleasant, relaxing setting. They have a limited menu of creative offerings. You could tell the ingredients were fresh. Everything was very tasty, including the Kona coffee. The service was good. We'd love to have dinner here sometime. We highly recommend this place.... This is a delightful restaurant in a really quaint town that is unbelievably hard to find! The restaurant not the town :). The picture above looks nothing like the restaurant which is actually set in beautiful gardens and the sign in front is off to the left and hidden. We actually ended up in the parking lot behind the restaurant... More

We were visiting the quaint little artist colony of Holuloa and were directed here by the locals. Setting is like you are in the middle of a garden. Walk in through a beautiful setting, and have great local food. Focus is on local and organic, from meat and fish to baked in-house breads. Very special place to eat (and don't... More
