fabulous coffee and light breakfast

Unfortunately we didnt visit this cafe until the last day on the big island :-(. We had a few double espresso,s each, a bagel and a little pastry and met the wonderful little 'bob hoskins' the cat. Highly recommend and only regret is not finding it sooner. It is attached to a restaurant which we... read more

Enjoyed meeting friends here for lunch on our last visit so wanted to return here to eat. Nice place to eat off the beaten path, cooler here due to the higher elevation. Had the Holuakoa Grilled Chicken Salad Sandwich and Fresh island Ahi Tuna Melt with fresh local and organic produce. Was great. Would recommend for something different.

Each time I go to the Big Island I make sure I stop here for a meal or two. This is the best restaurant I have ever been too. The food is always so fresh and delicious and the environment is so enchanting.

Everytime we hit the Big Island, we stop here for a couple of meals. This restaurant is up maulka above Kona area and is set in a jungle-like atmosphere. We basically come back for the pork sandwich on cornbread each time. Finally tried the fish this time, and loved that too. Kids love this place because they have a koi... More

I think they served the best eggs benedict I've ever had! My husband was won over with just his eggs and ham and potatoes. The toast with butter and mango spread was divine! We stumbled upon this place by accident, as we hadn't meant to go through Holualoa. When I searched online for restaurants in the area, this place popped... More

On a short window-shopping trip to the art galleries and shops in little Holualoa village we stopped in at this cafe for lunch. I had the BBQ pork sandwich with fuji apple slaw. omg. So tasty. My friends items were just as good (pumpkin soup, fresh tuna melt) and we all drooled over the vanilla french toast (it smelled heavenly.)... More

This restaurant has a great chef and wonderful food. Be aware that it is a slow food restaurant, and don't be in a hurry to get in, gulp down a meal, and then leave. Every dish they serve is made with local ingredients, and the combination of flavors is just outstanding. We especially loved the pumpkin soup! It's located in... More

Delightful setting to enjoy brunch or dinner. Food is farm to table Fresh, local & large portions I had a meza plate with grilled fish. Scrumptious, although fish a little salty Waiter was very helpful in assisting to select our entrees Great Latte

This "slow food restaurant" is located in the artist community of Holualoa, which is on Mamalahoa Hwy. at the 1,400 foot level above the town of Kailua-Kona. They serve breakfast (brunch), lunch and dinner. The seating is outdoor amidst the tropical plantings, although there is a small dining area on an upstairs balcony when they are full below. There is... More

We had been to Holuakoa Gardens & Cafe on a previous visit so it was on our list of places to return. It was even better than we remembered! This is a "slow" food restaurant with koi and a garden to provide a very relaxing atmosphere. We had two delightful servers who helped each other at the tables so we... More
