Tasty Hawaiian lunch, delightfully prepared.

We were driving the upper twisting mountain rod hugging the cliffs at the 2,000 foot elevation in the hills behind Kailua Kona when we stopped in the quaint little town of Holuakoa. One of the better looking cafes in Hawaii, though do not be tricked by the fact that they're far up the hill - there is no view. Great sandwiches, deserts, decent coffee. It could have been our favorite Hawaiian place if not the terrible service provided by a 'dude' acting waiter, who seemed to be completely out of place. He... More

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the restaurant adjacent to the cafe this evening, and every aspect of it was fantastic and memorable. There were three of us. We started the evening with mango mai tais, and they were everything a drink should be. We shared the brie and olive bruschetta, and that was also phenomenal. Two of us had... More

We ate here three times in 4 days. Great brunch - one of the best eggs Benny. Frittata was beautifully fluffy. French toast also good. Nice to have freshly squeezed OJ on offer. Prices good value (12-18 for most I think). For dinner, we both enjoyed a roast chicken special. Glazed with balsamic, capers, tomatoes. Around $28 for a main... More

This is a beautiful place. It has a great menu. All of the food is fresh. This was our first stop after landing in Kona. It helped us get in the feeling of being on a tropical island.

Nice attractive outdoor setting. Food good, but not great. Not quite up to what the chef is aspiring towards. Overpriced.

What could be better than enjoying a Brunch in a covered garden, especially when the food and service is outstanding? They successfully managed to combine breakfast and lunch items in developing an interesting menu. I had roasted pork loin under two over easy fried eggs accompanied by breakfast potatoes and asparagus. Our server Daniel was attentive and informative. A definite... More

It's not in the downtown area, but in Holualoa, about 15 minutes tops from Kailua town. located in a cute at village, with kona, coffee surrounding. Parking is limited, but local to go to the back of the restaurant and they have s parking structure there so you can enter in back. Take road front of Holualoa Lovin, Art gallery.... More

This restaurant you would drive by and not stop if you didn't know what was waiting for you behind the hedge line. Outdoor but covered with white twinkle lights. All the food is locally sourced and to die for. We have been there several times and tried different dishes each time all mouth watering. Bring a jacket gets chilly after... More
