Mild can be too spicy (if you have sensitive taste)

Came in for late dinner. Place was half full. Orders were taken quickly. Orderd 10 dollar long rice salad with tofu (good portioned). And a yellow curry chicken with jasmin rice. We asked the curry to be very mild and the salad very spicy. However the curry was still to spicy for my wife. My salad... read more

We fell in love with this place when we lived in Hilo several years ago. After we moved, we tried to find a suitable replacement on the mainland. We had elevated New Chiang Mai food to such a high pedestal, though, no other Thai restaurant ever seemed to quite compare. Close maybe, but just not the same. So we were... More

We have eaten Thai food all over the island. Overall this restaurant has the best food. The Shrimp Pad Thai is amazing! The appetizers are over priced however compared to the entrees so we didn't try any of them. The red curry was full of lots of different vegetables and spiced at medium very nicely. .

My husband and I dined here on a Friday evening. To start with, the wine selection was comprised of wines that are available at the local grocery store for less than$10 a bottle. However, they sell them in the restaurant for double that. I understand that wine mark ups are always high- however, most restaurants do not sell easily recognizable... More

My husband and I found this place while looking for another restaurant and we are very glad we did! The food was so authentic, I was pleasantly shocked..I felt I was back in Thailand for awhile. I had the Ahi Panang Curry and my husband had the Ahi Yellow curry. Both dishes were perfectly flavored and spiced. The choices of... More

This is the place where I had Thai food for the first time and got addicted to it... love the green curry and the mango and sticky rice dessert!

I've eaten here before a few months ago and, more recently, twice within a week's time. It's not the easiest restaurant to find but it's worth the search. My favorite dish is the spicy eggplant with chicken. On my two recent visits, I've invited different friends to join me. On both occasions, they thoroughly enjoyed their meals. If you plan... More

friendly, fast, local. What else do you need? Too much food so we took it back to kitchen at Dolphin Bay Hotel. We plan on trying new dishes next trip.

We were traveling with a group of 26 and the staff welcomed us with open arms. Everyone enjoyed their meals and later voted it the best place we ate on the trip. Thank you so much!

New Chiang Mai Thai restaurant is as close to perfect as possible. We are vegetarians and have never had fresher, tastier dishes than the ones prepared here. We eat 1 to 2 meals here every week and the quality is consistently great. Service is fast and friendly, each meal is prepared to order, the seasoning is superb and they even... More
