We just had the soup and salad bar - both were excellent and the service was great too. The place could use a little updating, but I'm not sure that's a concern here on this laid back island.

I had breakfast there, and it was of good quality, and the service was friendly and prompt. If you stay at the hotel, they may include breakfast in the price of the room.

We had the Kahuna Burger and The Furikake Chicken Katsu. Food was plentiful. The katsu sauce was just a tad too vinegary. Otherwise, it was great.

Our first night staying at the Seaside we ate elsewhere, but we both preferred the Coconut Grill once we tried it. The salad bar wasn't huge, but fresh and interesting - I seldom see kimchee offered, for instance. We had the crab cakes and the coconut shrimp, and both meals were abundant and delicious. A nice surprise. Service was great... More

The prime rib was a bit fatty, but had a good flavor. Happy prices were decent. I ate there twice and wasn't disappointed. Dessert is yummy!

Staying in the hotel (Hilo Seaside), we didn't want to go out, so this restaurant worked for us. We had dinner and breakfast there. In both cases, there was nothing outstanding, but better than average taste. The openness makes you realize where you are and the servers were more than pleasant. The tile floor is hard (as my encased phone... More

On a recent business trip to Hilo, I stayed in the hotel attached to this restaurant. I popped down for dinner my first night. I have to cut them some slack. This place was pumping. They had a retirement party plus a full house. I'm guessing they may have called in extra staff to handle the load. In I walk...party... More

The food and drinks were great but the service was a bit slow although friendly. We paid with a credit card but left the tip in cash. When I checked my credit card statement that evening, I found that they had over charged me by $30.00. I returned to the restaurant the next day and showed them the receipt and... More

Inexpensive lunch & early dinner menu, good variety including local fare and breakfast was very good, too. Slow service both in evening & morning, but they must be on Hawaiian time - ha ha!
