Staying in the hotel (Hilo Seaside), we didn't want to go out, so this restaurant worked for us. We had dinner and breakfast there. In both cases, there was nothing outstanding, but better than average taste. The openness makes you realize where you are and the servers were more than pleasant. The tile floor is hard (as my encased phone... More

On a recent business trip to Hilo, I stayed in the hotel attached to this restaurant. I popped down for dinner my first night. I have to cut them some slack. This place was pumping. They had a retirement party plus a full house. I'm guessing they may have called in extra staff to handle the load. In I walk...party... More

The food and drinks were great but the service was a bit slow although friendly. We paid with a credit card but left the tip in cash. When I checked my credit card statement that evening, I found that they had over charged me by $30.00. I returned to the restaurant the next day and showed them the receipt and... More

Inexpensive lunch & early dinner menu, good variety including local fare and breakfast was very good, too. Slow service both in evening & morning, but they must be on Hawaiian time - ha ha!

Attached to the Hilo Seaside Hotel. We didn't expect much, but we were hungry. Great food, friendly people. Ate there again for breakfast before we headed out. Love staying and dining at Hawaiian places, not chains.

We eat here twice, breakfast and dinner, in April and again in May for lunch. The food and service were excellent all 3 times. Prices are about $12 to $16 for most items other than steak. Sit by the window and you can see Reeds Bay with ducks and some times a Nene goose. In the early morning you may... More

We stopped here for breakfast two out of the four days we were in Hilo. Good food, good value, and the coffee was fresh. :-)

Food was awesome! The only thing I did not like, was there was no name tags for the different foods. I would think it would be a positive thing for the restaurant, as it would cut down on waste.

I went to this restaurant at around 3pm and late lunch was still on offer. I believe that late lunch menu is different from proper lunch but there are still good variety of food to pick from. Happy hour with $3 beer is also offered for late lunch. Would recommend for a light meal with alcohol.

I was a little nervous about the food quality...as the restaurant did not seem to be that updated. I was more than pleasantly surprised! We shared a eye rib steak, laulau, and caeser salad. All are delicious and tasty. The waiter was friendly and attentive. Mahalo!
