In my opinion this place has the best teriyaki sauce EVER!! Should really try the Kalbi or beef Teri plates, but I LOVE what I always call the "sizzling" salmon plate because it's cooked right on a metal plate and served to you on the same plate still sizzling. It's in the Teriyaki sauce and it's really, really delicious!!. The... More

The food was by far the best in the area! Order the kalbi, and make sure you get some of their chocolate mochi dessert!

I ordered out their Saimin burger combo $10. It comes with a small Saimin and a nori burger. I love this deal and never can eat it all, I share it with someone else. They give lots of noodles. Just ask for the soup to be separate so that the noodles don't get soggy. The burger is like a teriyaki... More

Nori's is a bit hard to find, tucked away in a 'strip' of other businesses but worth it. The food is quite good, the atmosphere is typical mom and pop 'noodle joint', the tables and booths are stark and basic but I think add to the local charm. The menu is diverse, the food is tasty and fresh. This is... More

It's not bad but it's not excellent. I'm all for "hole in the wall" great food kind of place but this was really just a hole in the wall kind of place with passable food. I ordered a won ton udon noodle soup and it was ok. Nothing to write home about. I looked at what the other people ordered... More

The food is tasty as always, but their service has been the worst I've ever seen it. we never got refills on our water and we waited ten minutes until someone came to the register do that we could pay for our bill. Then when we pay, the waitress tells us so charged us the wrong bill.

I love kim chi. I love fried saimin. When I saw kim Chi Fried Saimin on Nori's menu, it was a done deal for me! For hubby, kalbi lunch plate with toss salad. Nori's is really local, never disappoints. This was no exception. Today was a really hot day, we didn't feel like leaving our house, so I visited Hilo... More

Weekend Special: Garlic Prawns served with 2 scoops rice and your choice of mac or tossed salad. The prawns were cooked to perfection, tender like lobster meat. Cooking it in the shell with the head-on is the best way to impart more of the natural flavor of the prawn. The shells were cooked just right so you can eat them,... More

Yesterday we decided to once again visit Nori's Saimin and was very dissatisfied as it was loud and the waitress did not make a point to ask the patrons to keep it down considering there are other patrons that prefer to have a quiet dinner . Remember we are paid customers too. Too bad

We had a saimin special, fried noodles, fish sandwich, and a hamburger. The service was quick and the place was clean. All of the food tasted good, but wasn't out of this world. The prices were good and there were a lot of choices. The best item was the chicken stick, that was divine!
