Vietnamese restaurant.

In a remoted place like this, the restaurant with Vietnamese menu such as this one is acceptable. Good enough to sastify the crave.

The dish I ordered was greasy but my dining companions all enjoyed their dinners. But the family run atmosphere is really sweet. We shared our table with the almost two year old baby of our hosts, and he was a delight.

I only sampled one dish, the Bo Kho, a French inspired Vietnamese Beef stew similar to Pho but definitely with a more French flair. I usually have it at another local Pho place and was hoping for something comparable. It was disappointing. Way too much tomato paste, the meat tasted of poor quality and I didn't finish my bowl, which... More

My wife and I are Asian tourists visiting Hawaii and one night we craved some authentic Vietnamese food before leaving for home. We have eaten true Vietnamese cuisine often in Southeast Asia, and I can vouch this humble joint in Hilo is the real deal. It is WAY off the tourist path near the airport, and the restaurant is extremely... More

Humble but neat and welcoming; and not bursting with tourists. I had Pho Tai and a Vietnamese iced coffee. Both were excellent. Veg were fresh and flavorful. Service was good, too. I wish they were closer to me -- I'd be in there several times a week. One of the best things I ate during my stay in Hawaii.

I found this place while walking to The Ponds to look at the lunch menu. Never made it to the Ponds! Ordered their garlic shrimp and got a hefty plate of delicious rice and green beans with four shrimp. I would have liked more shrimp but the meal was delicious and nicely priced. In Hilo there aren't many places with... More

Walk in and find a table in the dining room that feels like a big kitchen in a private home. A very small boy will likely walk over to your table and try to talk to you in his baby talk with his very pregnant mother (the waitress and daughter in law of the owners) following close behind. The dish... More

I had a great bowl of Pho here. One of the best I've ever had, even edging out my own mother. My boyfriend ordered the only non-Vietnamese thing on the menu and he loved it too. He got pad thai and he loved it.

I have been there a few times since moving to Hilo two months ago, and the Pho is excellent, as were the other dishes I had there. A very small place so it pays to get there a little before the lunch ruch. Service is fast and friendly.

This is one of the places that I have visited that I have a hard time reviewing. I don't want to let everyone how good this place is because I don't want to be standing in line behind you! The service is fast and the food is great. It's not a place you want to go if your looking for... More
