Paying homage to the original

After sampling this truly Hawaiian comfort food from many good places in Kona, it was almost a "sacred" duty to visit Cafe 100, one of the likely originators of this wonderful dish. They have so many variants of the loco Mocco, it's ridiculous but they offered the Super LM for less than 7 bucks on... read more

We came here based on the recommendation from the Hawaii revealed book. It was an Ono and those are usually very reliable. This on the other hand was nowhere near Ono. I thought it would be good because of the reliability of those ratings, but it was not to our taste. I ordered the teriburger and it tasted like sausage... More

This was the best loco moco on the big island. Not only did they have a huge variety of moco, but they have a "SuperMoco," which is basically double the usual amount of moco with allllll the meats. It's an informal place with an outdoor ordering window, but there is plenty of covered seating available and adequate parking. No matter... More

This is the place for Loco moco and plate lunch. I got the super Loco moco! It was a pile of Ono Loco Moco! Plenty of food for under $7. There regular Loco moco sell for just $3.50 that's a great lunch for nearly nothing Friendly service and quick food for the road or eat on there padio. 9 out... More

We were looking for decent food at a decent price and found it at Cafe 100. The Loco Moco dish I chose was tasty and filling, and it didn't empty my wallet. Also, the service was fast, and plenty of parking was available.

We stopped here in the late afternoon after noticing several cars already there. We were not disappointed by the food or the service They have a menu with a lot of local food and also burgers and breakfast if your there in the morning. The prices were reasonable too. There were several daily special items on a dry erase board... More

We enjoy eating the local food at Cafe 100 whenever we're on the Big Island. We enjoy the large variety, large portions, and decent prices. their FB pictures always make me hungry for the food when we're on the mainland. The history of Cafe 100 is also very interesting and makes me want to support this local eating place.

Was worth a trip to this place to get some good value local food, a rarity in Hawaii where everything seems so expensive for tourists. Very tasty food.

A great spot for loco moco in Hilo that serves many many kinds of loco moco. My mahi mahi loco moco tasted better than the regular one. Please go with empty stomach because it fills up very quickly!

I loved this place! No - it's not fancy (and certainly not healthy), but it was full of locals and was really affordable. You order at a counter and they call out your number a few minutes later and you can either take your food to go or chow down at the tables they've got. They have a ton of... More
