A must try

We had been looking forward to trying the famous Loco Moco. We were not disappointed at all, we had both the original and spam locos with a side of tasty Mac salad. Place was busy the entire time we were there and prices were affordable.

I'm not sure why cafe 100 is a popular restaurant. You have to stand in line and place your order at a window. They only have seating outside at picnic tables. It took me a long time to place my order because I couldn't find anything that was appealing on their menu. I ended up with a ham and cheese... More

Looking for a place to eat with young children this place hit the mark. Figured it had to be good when we saw the ambulance and utility trucks in the parking lot. Food local and fresh made to order.

I thought it was pretty good! And it's a really filling cheap lunch. Spam is not for everyone, but you have to try a loco moco with spam at least once while you're on the island. I can't really compare it to other places because this was the only time I tried it, but I can say that there were... More

this is an iconic Hilo local restaurant. For the real experience try their loco moco that comes in many variations. My husband ordered this and had more than he could eat. I had the mahi which I enjoyed very much. An experience to remember. An interesting variation to fast food. Tables are out side with a roof overhead.

We got the tasty loca moco and the price was good. I would say only locals were there waiting for their food. This place was strictly carryout, but the food was good

Catch the Loco Moco, in any of a dozen+ configurations, this is THE place to 'go local' in Hilo. With a "fast food" setting, order and recieve your order at the window, abundant outdoor picnic style seating surrounds. The food is substantial, home style prepared and an excellent value. You won't see too many tourists here and is an excellent... More

Looking for a taste of Hawai'i then you need to go to Cafe 100. Loco moco is a local favorite and you will be happy and full when you leave. So many options and so affordable. If you are not a large eater you can split your dish. The classic loco moco is white rice, hamburger patty, sunny-side up fried... More

Poi is very popular on the island and this is the place to get it. Great variety. They top all of them with gravy except the Vegetarian variety, which my sister got and liked it. SPAM is also a big hit. Neither of them are 'my cup of tea'.

It's not a fast food restaurant but the food comes out just as fast as McDonalds! We always get the stew gravy and gravy burgers. Their selection of loco mocos are expansive along with plate lunches of all sorts. I didn't get any pictures of what we ate because it was gone as soon as we got it! LOVE Cafe... More
