I love this restaurant. Sure, sometimes the servers seem a bit moody. Just get over it. Sometimes they're really friendly. But they always get the food to you, clear your dirty dishes, etc. The place is just super popular so they're a bit overwhelmed sometimes I think. Plus, sometimes the slow service reminds you to really slow down your meal,... more

Wow. I was surprised to see this fine restaurant called "filthy." This is Hawaii: its hot and open air buildings are common as they are more comfortable and the views are fantastic. If you demand a spotless dining experience then much of the finest food on the island will be lost to you- and it will be MUCH more expensive.... more

This is one of the filthiest places i have ever eaten in America..with the exception of a dump called Sheik's on Maui. To see anything worst one would have to go to a third world country. To top it off the food is extremely unhealthy, all deep fried and served with white rice. more

When you walk in to Miyo's restaurant you immediately feel like you are invited to someones home. The at home feeling is so welcoming. The service is friendly, friendly, friendly...Don't be surprised to see pilots and flight attendants there having a late supper before boarding the plane for their next flight. As my husband and I ran into ours at... more

You can never find the Sesame Chicken this good anywhere else in the world.. Chicken so crisp and the thick tasty sause which adds more flavor with a little mixture of house made salad dressing served on the same plate. The place is nicely remodeled and with soothing live music in the background, you will enjoy a memorable dinner time... more

Before I give you my review, you must first understand that Hilo does not have many selections for decent food. I've lived here about 8 months and this was some of the best I've had. I've only eaten there once- not because of the food- but because the hours are odd (open for lunch, close, open for dinner) and you... more

No like. Everything is tempura, or it seemed that way, and it all tastes the same. I have been going to this restaurant off and on for years and can't figure out why people love it. But then, Hilo is a place where the locals love a carton of sticky rice w/ spam on top, a fried egg on top... more

The food at Miyo's is divine. There are so many things to choose from, and it can be quite overwhelming, but I love the sesame chicken & tempura with salad especially. The atmosphere transports you to a Japan of the past, with wonderful mood lighting and zen water gardens. Parking is a bit cramped, but it is well worth it.... more
