Freddies is a long-time favorite place for us. You can order from the counter and take your tray into an open-seating set of booths, or wait a minute to be seated in a sit-down, order from a menu, environment, and have a nice relaxed meal. I eat vegetarian, and there is always something for me, and the menu includes all... More

Freddies has never disappointed me. This is not a fancy looking place but the quality of the food and the price is unbeatable. Here is where the local people go! The sunrise special is usually my choice, 2 eggs to your order, toast or rice and one meat choice for $3.95. Sometimes i go the chicken loco, the "bowl" version.... More

We searched for a good seafood only restaurant on both Oahu and the Big Island. There seems to be plenty of sandwich shops and steak restaurants but very very few fish houses. Thank god we found Freddy's before we left Hawaii that night. I asked for the day's special and the waiter said the Redfish was caught that morning and... More

This restaurant is owned by Blaine's Drive Inn, so I had big hopes for the food. The sandwiches and breakfast are okay, but other items are pretty sad. Their Saimin was over priced for what you get, plus it was cold! Stick with sandwiches or take out.

I was disappointed that there was no ice cream available, no beef stew either. Their regular plates looked more like mini versions. Gravy is very salty. Mac/potato salad was pretty good.

Several people recommended this place so I gave it a try. Lots of locals in line, mostly ordering sandwiches. You can eat in the dining room or take your food to go, which is what I did. The "Turkey on Wheat" with tomato and tons of sprouts was good but not outstanding. The price was ok but nothing comes with... More

I've never seen so many items available at a restaurant! We've eaten there several time and got many various things. All have been pretty good. I got prime rib one time that I felt was too costly for the steak I received, as it was very thin and small in size. Our Grandson likes the fried shrimp really well, and... More
