We had lunch on April 18. Nice bustling local place. Bento B had a tasty teriaki chicken along with the salmon. Volcano roll was great. Not fancy, but good and lots of variety. Would eat here a lot if we were close by...

Thanks for the all the reviews pointing us to this place. It looks pretty dodgy from the outside - dont let that fool you! The food is some of the best sushis we've had. The bento box c was fantastic and the volcano roll was a must. Parking outside is easy. Service fine. We kept coming back!!

You don't go for the atmosphere, but you do go for the food, excellent prices and friendly service. This is a small restaurant, not a lot of ambience, but the sushi is great, and inexpensive. The back of the menu has some interesting combos to try. The staff was friendly and helpful, which is not always the case in Hilo.

Good food and quick service. The staff were very quiet, not even conversing among themselves. Lots of people were stopping in to pick up their take out for lunch. You could tell it is popular with the locals, which is just the kind of place I'm looking for while traveling!

Great, reasonably priced sushi - not spoken together often! The decor is economy diner style, but the sushi more than makes up for it. They get very busy most evenings, especially weekends, but I've never had a long wait for a table.

The pace is pretty spacious, but little parking. Street parking is best. The food is affordable and pretty good choices. The downtown and uptown sushi rolls are my favorite...pretty unique. Service is slow though.

Not amazing but just fine. Fresh as can be. Nice waitstaff. Hole in the wall. Not sure I would go back but I do recommend it.

I am a sushi lover and this place was terrific! The food was amazing and very affordable. Ignore the ambiance, which is easy, cause there isn't any. Focus on the food, which is even simpler cause it is mouth watering. The staff were friendly and efficient, even during VERY busy times. Loved it!
