POKE POKE POKE

Asked one of the locals where to get a Poke bowl, they said this place never fails. It was very local...very resonable and very good. Generous portions..very fresh. The atmosphere was better to eat outside with the locals... not fine cuisine...just a neighborhood joint..which was very good.

Looks like a fish market....it is. It sells a variety of poke...has tables outside. It's a super snack. Great price and the freshest! What more do you want? Ambience? Fugeddaboutit! Just great poke!

If you're on this side of the island and like/love poke , this is the place for you. Definitely as good as Da Poke Shack in Kona( which is great!). Suisan is an interesting, old Hawaii style market,/fish processing location with a few outdoor seats. Love the spice jalepeno and the mango poke. We ate their poke every day, could not get enough. Different flavors and all wonderful. Locals were buying there and a line each time we were there, so we knew we were in the right place. Highly recommend.

It's not really a restaurant... you can buy freshly caught fish and poke there and it's absolutely fantastic. There are also some tables in the front, if you liek you can eat there. We always took our poke to the nearby park in walking distance and had a picnic with a perfect view over the bay.

We were looking to purchase fresh fish to cook out at our rental, and not buy it from a grocery store. This small fish market had a good variety including ahi tuna and mahi mahi which we purchased. My husband got a good deal on some ahi from the case near the door. It was not "displayed" like the ahi... More

We stumbled on this on recommendation from staff where we had been staying and stopped in to get fish to cook for dinner on our way to Volcano. This is a fish market first and foremost. The fish they have is right off the boat and they are reasonable in their pricing. They have a good selection, and also some... More

Fresh, excellent poke. The setting is extremely utilitarian but you can take the food out to the gardens across the street and eat it there. Definitely worth a visit!
