This place is tiny, but it makes awesome mochi. We had the variety pack and our favorite was the grape and white chocolate. Very close to Hilo farmers market, and worth a visit. Parking is hard to find, like most of downtown hilo. Ask for samples - the strawberry mochi is seasonal. They also offer kid friendly brownie and Marsh... More

We zipped through here while traveling from the Kona area to Volcano Natl Park, going through Hilo. There's a fair bit of metered street parking out front, and the place is tiny, and meant just for pickups. It's just one room where you order or grab a pre made to go box, and feel free to ask the counter staff... More

Walk in order your mochi and walk out with a box of some very unusual treats. Impossible to describe you just have to try it. I recommend the fresh strawberry, butter mochi, and grape. Actually liked all the ones sampled. Very small store with just enough room to order. Be prepared for a long list of flavors. You can order... More

This tiny storefront has the most delicious mochi I've ever enjoyed! The variety is amazing and ranges from classic (red bean) to new twists (marshmallow). I have never had mochi so tender and distinctive. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Hilo.

Note: this is not a a place to sit down and sip tea with mochi. You pick them up and eat them elsewhere. For example, across the street in the wonderful park. The place specializes in mochi, their selection ranges from traditional to what I would almost call eclectic. The fresh-fruit filled mochi are to die for (e.g., grape or strawberry).... More

Mochi is a love-hate kind of dessert, you either love it or hate it. I love it, and Two Ladies Kitchen has the best by far. It's very authentic with the very best strawberry mochis anywhere. The grape, lilikoi, and chocolate marshmallow are pillowy, sweet clouds of perfection. The service is good. I have read about lines, but it never... More

My only Mochi experience before this was just from foodland. This was absolutely amazing. Their variety was great, and gave me a new taste for mochi. Definitely worth a stop if you are in Hilo.

After reading about the Two Ladies Kitchen before our trip to the Big Island, we knew that we had to satisfy our mochi addiction there... Their strawberry mochis are absolutely marvelous (fresh strawberry center, surrounded by sweet red bean paste and chewy rice dough) -- very yummy combination of flavors indeed :)) Be sure to also sample their other sweet... They have such a large assortment that they make. Many flavors that I've never even heard of before. Some were just ok but according to my husband some were great! It's all natural with no preservatives so they don't last long. We were also warned that you cannot refrigerate or freeze them so you need to be able to eat... More
