If you love pastries this is your place!!! Absolutely delicious!!!!!! Everything we ordered was superb!!
Stopped by a mid-afternoon coffee and cake. The place is small and cozy. The main trade seems to be in the take-out business and while we there, business was very brisk. After eating the food I understand why.
If you've ever been to Europe and had the pleasure of eating in a fine patisserie / bakery and thinking this is wonderful... this is the best I've ever had and couldn't wait to come back for more. Your wait is over! Jackie and family have brought a little piece of exquisite to Hilo. Nothing competes on the island, if... More
Who knew I would find the best croissant of America in HIlo, Hawaii? I am a bakery snob who has lived in New York, Boston, the Bay area CA, Chicago, Short Hills NJ and Seoul. After all the croissants I have tried, I conclude that Moonstruck has the best one.
When my husband and I were passing through Hilo and wanted a mid-morning snack we spotted this place by shear chance and were drawn in by the name. It was a gem of a find! The shop has a good selection of pastries as well as some quiche and sandwiches made on site by the chef/owner. The quality is obvious... More
We third in line waiting for Moonstruck to open. We weren't disappointed. We both had scones, though they has somewhat more interesting names. They were perfect. Service was patient and informative. Not to be missed in Hilo.
Finally, got here. Been passing by it ever since they opened. Really, for moisture and quality of ingredients, Moonstruck surpasses all the boulangeries in San Francisco and, of course, Hilo! I hope she stays here in humble hickville and doesn't move to Honolulu or abroad again! The almond paste filling in the croissants alone sets her above anywhere else on... More
Treat yourself to an incredible dessert or three. If you like flavor and different and experimental blends, then this place will be magic for you. Plan on over indulging. Don't miss it while in Hilo. It's the best in the entire state!
My wife and I stopped by Moonstruck Patisserie this afternoon and loved it! The chocolate raspberry brownies are wonderful and the coffee is quite good as well. A great place to stop for desert and coffee in Hilo. The owner was also very friendly and welcoming.
We take an apple pie, a rock bun and coffee. My husband and i we're suprised. It tasted like homemade and like our favorite bakery at Home in germany. The interior was Rallye cool and the music made a christmas feeling.
