A taste of Europe

Buttery flaky croissant, superb cakes and pastries...the best French Press Coffee I have had in years, took me back to Europe. Friendly atmosphere and good prices.

The day I was in Hilo (Saturday market day) it was chucking down buckets of rain all along the east coast of the Big Island, there were tourists everywhere, all rushing around, the market was crazy busy. I stepped into Moonstruck Patisserie and felt instantly welcomed into a beautiful, quiet little heaven amidst the chaos. I had a lovely pot... More

Oh my heavens! What a hidden gem! If you are in Hilo, do not fail to find this little business for decadent pastries and desserts. The cheesecake, fruit torte, chocolate mousse cake had the four of us oohing and aahing throughout the eating experience. We all licked our plates! Food made fresh on premises reminiscent of Paris but the prices... More

I have enjoyed everything I have tried at. Moostruck. We stopped going to Hilo on the days they are closed. It's that good.

Delicate and delicious delicatessens in Hilo. Took me back in time to Paris Café. Thoughtful desserts & peaceful setting. In the historic busy bakery district of Hilo. A must see. Thank you for your pride in the craft of baking! Next time I'll get a french press with my dessert selection.

Stopped by for a little bite - and ended up with 2 quiches and a raspberry lattice bar. Excellent food, great friendly service, highly recommended.

This place is small but the pastries range from sweet to savory and are truly handcrafted pieces of art. As for the coffee, it's not "fast food" coffee; she makes a lovely French press beverage for you. Little piece of heaven in my humble opinion.

If you want a world-class pastries, check out this place. The prices is on the higher end, but you get what you pay for. A few tables inside the shop where you can enjoy their pastries and a cup of coffee, which is also excellent. Our family favorite: rock bun (you can get sweet or savory), quiche, and for special... I was very pleasantly surprised by my recent stop into this small pastry shop. I picked up a chocolate croissant and a raspberry square and they were both delicious. The croissant was particularly good and had a large amount of chocolate (what could be better?) The selection at the shop isn't large but the other cakes looked amazing too. It's... More

What a little gem this is. Situated on a side street a couple blocks from the Farmer's Market, this cozy patisserie serves up some pastries and cakes that are as good as anything I've found in Paris. I had a cake with chocolate mousse and Bailey's Irish Cream mousse and it was delicious. Obviously fresh, there was a combination of... More
