Went back twice before reviewing again. It was the real deal. The hole-in-the wall with the absolute best wet burrito ever. The flavors unfold with every bite. Sure you can get a less expensive burrito at Lucy's, but you'll get less taste, more filler and less satisfaction. This is an outstanding burrito by any standard. Make it wet!

We were famished after doing the eco skyline zip tour! We decided to go into downtown Hilo after our excursion and we could not decide where to eat. We found, what looked like a hole in the wall, burrito place and decided to drop in. BEST DECISION WE MADE! The food is freakin' delicious! I had the Hula Burrito bowl... More

Really good mexican food with good ingredients made fresh. Not fancy (order at the counter), but good food in large portions. Friendly service makes this street side place a real star. You get your money's worh here, and I am a repeat customer.

I was wandering around Hilo looking for something affordable and tasty, when I stumbled upon this little gem. George makes a seriously good burrito and will tell you some delightful tales while he is working his magic. Great salsas, solid value, an excellent place for vegans or vegetarians to check out. I went back to Hilo for a few reasons,... More

Only ate there once and had the wet burrito special, which is big enough for 2 people. Wonderful flavors and homemade casera sauce! Not fancy, but go for the food!

First, the wet burrito is to die for. Order a wet burrito and you will be happy, happy, happy. My entire group was. With that said, you have to work a little to enjoy this culinary magic. It is a hole-in-the-wall so parking is almost non-existent. You can count on a short walk. Seating is sparse so think take-out. Costs... More

George makes a wet burrito to die for. His salsas distinguish him from any place in the state! Your taste buds will never be the same. Try the lava salsa, hot for an instant, but the flavor will stay with you for twenty minutes. There is very little room to sit and parking in the area is a challenge. As... More

Chef owner George recently moved his little Mexican café to a new location on Keawe Street in downtown Hilo. It’s still very small, sparsely decorated, with a few tables on the sidewalk, and not much else! But he still serves the same excellent menu and people still line up for his famous wet burritos! For $10, you can get a... More

This is mostly a take away place, but do they have great burritos!! The owner told me he was going fishing for Mahi Mahi and the next day I had a Mahi Mahi burrito. Very friendly service, a god laugh and great food. Stock up with a box and head for the beach picninc!

The burritos were alright after we passed it a few times because the location has not updated. It is like a "low rent" Chipotle, not bad just less. My shrimp burrito was served with the tails still on, so every other bite I was fishing through my food to find them before I ate. There are a few tables outside... More
