Nice family dinner for a party of 6

We were a group of 6 so there is a special menu for larger groups and it is served family style. No problem as we were starving and ordered all 8 items on the menu. They have a full bar also. Which helped as we were thirsty after a long drive. The food was great and you must order their... read more

Daily, the menu is changed with small and large plates. Small plates for one, large plates to share. A happy hour before 7PM gives you 15% off your menu choices. Amazing, remarkable food, that challenge you to try something different. Be sure and ask what covers their twinkling lights over the windows. Special thanks to Alicia who proudly directed us... Had a great visit; more kid friendly than I expected. The reason this is not a five-star rating is due to the small menu. I get the daily menu thing but choices were just a bit limited. I will go there again, however.

Small, friendly, unusual food. There are usually four small plates and four to five large plate items on the menu, some regular items they can't take off the menu because they are so popular (the brussels sprouts) and other changing items depending on what's available. We had the "fish and chips" which was ahi poke with tapioca chips (ask for... More

Small menu offering great food. We ordered the Wild Boar fried rice, Tataki beef and vegetarian udon soup. All were perfectly cooked.

We stopped by for lunch, and were pleasantly surprised! The sashimi take on fish and chips was thoughtful, and they have great rice bowls. Highly recommended!

WOW. These guys took it up a few notches in Hilo! We had a great meal with a local flare - tired the smokey sashimi for the app, it was unreal. Entrees were the fried rice and the veggie noodle soup, both were delicious and presented well. Great wine list and local beers on tap to go with the meal.... More

We had seen the restaurant that had been here rated highly in our guidebook, so we made a reservation. Though it had changed hands it sounded too good not to try. There were 6 of us ranging from 11-69. They told us to order and food would come as it was prepared. We should share. All of the dishes were... More

There were three of us in our party and the menu that night looked so good, we ordered one of everything. To be fair, there were only 4 starters and 4 mains but we couldn't decide. There was something for every taste and each dish was different. The chef came out and had a word with us to see how... More

As a resident of Hilo, a new local eatery is always welcome. Probably the best thing about this small, intimate restaurant is that the menu each day is the result of the best fresh fish, meats and vegetables that the chef finds in our local markets each day. We have a fantastic selection of organic, local fresh produce available from... More
