Lunch April 10, 2013, party of 2 Downtown Hilo is filled with small owner/operated retail shops and restaurants. Full Moon Cafe is one of those hidden Hilo gems that its a little hard to find, but well worth it... Bordered between Kamehameha Ave and Keawe St., right behind the Hollywood Theaters or the old Kress Building, Full Moon is a... More

We visited the cafe on a Sunday afternoon after wandering around the botanical gardens. It was slim pickings for eating establishments given the day. We stumbled across the cafe, what a nice surprise! There only seemed to be the one waitress and the chef but they run the cafe very well between them. My boyfriend had pineapple fried rice with... Nice and quiet during Merrie Monarch. A little off the main drag...and great tasting food. Our party of five all enjoyed their food.

There are quite a few Thai restaurants in Hilo but this is one of the best. The food is consistently good and made with fresh ingredients.

This town is littered with Thai places. This is one of the better choices because the food is consistently good and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Service can be a bit slow down during busy times, but it's nice to see a bustling place after such hard times. Fresh ingredients. Good selection of local beers and cocktails.

Saw this place as we were wandering around Hilo and stopped in for dinner. This place is small but has great Thai food and good service. I would recommend it to anyone. The curry is spicer than you might think and they have multiple levels to choose from.

We discovered this little Gem after picking up Mallorie from the Hilo airport. We arrived for lunch early and and ordered a few beers to drink while deciding on what to choose from the menu.. They were ice cold. Good sign. Our waitress was a bit difficult to understand but we all managed well enough to communicate our orders. The... More

This place has become our number one recommendation for our Day Spa clients! Many of our clients spend hours at my Spa and of course get hungry and ask for our recommendations! Full Moon Cafe is always a winner and just around the corner! Very authentic and very hot if that's what you like! Otherwise ask for mild ;)
