Stopped here for a late lunch, just appetizers and some drinks. We sat by a window in the bar area so we had a nice view. There were very few people there at the time so service was not a problem. We ordered the Calamari and the Furikake Seared Ahi. Both were average. Neither was particularly bad, but neither was... More

My wife and I have driven past this restaurant several times this week. It looked interesting, so we tried it out last night. Upon arrival, we were asked if we had a reservation, to which we said No. The hostess informed us that all the window tables were reserved, and placed us at a 2 person table not too far... More

We went to the thermal ponds. It was really gorgeous, almost therapeutic. Great snorkeling and perfect for any age.

We went to Ponds for lunch, and we really enjoyed everything, the food, the service and the atmosphere. The tiger shrimp was huge and delicious. My husband had the shrimp wrap which was large and really tasty. Prices were reasonable for the portions.

During our stay on the Big Island we drove from our hotel (waikloa) to the Volcano National Park taking us through Hilo. We stopped for a late lunch. It is on a interesting fish pond with fish just outside the window. The wait staff gave fish food to my daughter to toss out the window and saw the water just... More

Very good for dinner ( and lunch i guess). If you are by the window, you can feed the fishes as you are waiting :) there is singer almost everyday so the ambiance is sooo chillaxe. Very good and fresh food. Very nice restaurant; dont miss it

We happened to be there for "fiesta Monday." Our fish tostadas were fresh and delicious. I don't usually like fried food but this was very well done - delicate and flavorful. I would have cleaned my plate if I'd had enough room!

Here for lunch now and been waiting so long I have plenty of time to rate. Maybe a waitress with a smile might have helped but whole family sitting here suggesting we just leave! Food might be decent but not worth the wait!

Took a helicopter tour and another guest on tour was a local. He worked at and recommended Ponds Restaurant. I had the fish (local) and chips and it was awesome.

I knew the owners' of this place when it was Harrington's. My husband, a friend, and I stopped in for lunch awhile back in its new incarnation as Ponds. We all ordered the fish and chips. It was a TON of food. Way too much for us to eat. It didn't really bowl me over. Earlier this month I was... More
