This is a fantastic place to have lunch or dinner. The food is very, very good, exotic and reasonably priced. And the staff - the most friendliest staff in the whole world. We ate there twice, on a 6 day jaunt to the Big Island.

If you are anywhere near Bamboo, do stop in for what has to be one of the best restaurants in the area. Their burgers and fresh fish are top notch. Service is always excellent as well. Parking can be tricky but this place is well worth the effort.

If you are traveling to Polou Valley Lookout make a point to stop in Hawi and sample the fare at the Bamboo restaurant. Located on the main road it is easy to find and is in a funky 100 year old building. Friendly servers and attentive owner made a memorable dining experience. Great grilled fish sandwich and homemade waffle fries... More

Our concierge, Greg, from Hilton Waikoloa, recommended that we eat here before our zipline adventure. We ordered the grilled fish sandwich, and we both thought it was awesome. What was just as good was the building, its history, and the people who work there. Great iced tea, great sense of humor, good food, good service, and the best feeling of... More

From the Passionfruit Anything, to the occasional breakout hula show, this place is anything but your typical tourist trap. The service is impeccable, food incredibly prepared- and as it slides by your table to the next while you consider what to order, you cannot screw it up! Every choice walking by your table looks and smells better than the next.... More

Worth the 30-40 minute haul from the Kona Coast Resorts. Great food, lovingly prepared and served. Reasonable prices. The ginger martini is almost worth the trip. Gift shop/ art gallery features local artists and artisans. We've always gone for dinner when the "locals" have a good time (the waitress did the Hula with the people at the next table) and... More

After travelling up from Kona and checking out the Saturday Farmers' market, my wife and I headed to this well reviewed restaurant. By midday, the place seemed to be full, so we gave it an hour and we were seated straight away. We were pleased to be sat right at the front of the restaurant as it seemed rather dark... More

I had fish sandwich, coleslaw very good. I found it interesting that there were tables for four that they could not use for two. 10-15 minute wait. So the couple behind us joined us and we were seated immediately. Hostess provided entertainment by doing the hula.

Also taken by a local to try the pulled pork and cabbage, It was very good that day and we all enjoyed our meal when it was announced that three hula dancers would entertain near the tables. They were local ladies in the traditional dresses and one man in the back for the tables there. It was fun.
