We visit The Big Island once a year for a business meeting. We always plan one day away from the beach to take a trip to the North Kohala coast. Went with friends for lunch. Had thai style O'no (Wahoo) with stir-fried veggies and rice. One plate shared with my wife filled us up. Delicious and great service.

I would say go just for the Lilikoi Mai Tai, but you have to stay for the food as well. Located in the super cute, quaint town of Hawi, it's worth a trip up to the North End of the island just for a visit. And while you are here, you will need some fuel. And look no further. Besides... More

My friend and I stopped in last Wednesday 5/13 for dinner. We're visiting from Oahu. I have heard great things about Bamboo and they did not disappoint. While I was living on Big Island I never had the opportunity to go but I've always recommended it based on guests compliments from my previous job. My friend had the Bamboo burger.... More

We had lunch at the Bamboo Restaurant and it was a very good experience. The server was fun and knowledgeable. Their Mojitos are delicious. Our dishes were very good. Highly recommended.

What a cool spot - lovely laid back village feel of Hawi carried on in to the restaurant. Fun retro feel to the decor. Had the lilikoi margarita, the pot stickers and waffle fries- all were fabulous. Found the service to be good - certainly no complaints. Would happily eat there again and work my way through the menu!!!!

A long term nice restaurant in Hawi. Rather large establishment with many seats so easy to get the table. Nice and reliable food on the main street. It is located in a 100+ year building with great charm. Not your regular modern restaurant. Plenty of browsing and shopping close by. Nice friendly service

I just love their food. So many good things. Their lilikoi (passion fruit) ice tea is delicious. I miss it! I am particularly fond of the Hawaiian Barbecued Pork Sandwich for lunch (usually in Hawi around lunch time, mostly on purpose to go to Bamboo!). But their fish sandwiches are very good too, and if they have Ono or Opakapaka,... More

I did not find the food special. Terri chicken and spoonful of rice was nothing to write home about. My wife had Terri noodles which was almost void of vegies. She was not impressed either. We did not go back.

Oh, Paul... the only "terri chicken with a scoop of rice" we offer is on the children's menu. Perhaps you'd be happier if you ordered off the adult menu? Again, here is a person that said nothing to us but complains in public. Gotta love these folks. He DID like the bar in Hilo, though, so goodie goodie! More
