After 15 years away, still as delicious

I fell in love with this restaurant 15 years ago. Brought my husband to Hawi just to eat here a few days ago and he liked it so much we came back for dinner tonight. Amazing, friendly atmosphere and delicious food. Loved the chicken sate potstickers, the Kohala coconut fish and chicken dishes, the... read more

Best food we have eaten at any restaurant in or three trips to the Big Island. Organic an amazingly fresh food. Great atmosphere and amazing drinks. If it wasn't such a far drive we would've eaten there every day.

Our traveling companions knew of Bamboo, so our party went there for lunch. Our passionfruit margaritas were delicious - and sizeable. We shared pupu platters that included pot stickers, coconut shrimp, pork quesadillas and calamari. Everybody was happy with food and drinks. Service was good.

We have a Brother/Sister in Law that live in Hawi. On our visit it was very cool that the local Art Teacher (for their kids) allowed our Son to attend too! While the kids were in Art Class, we stopped in the Bamboo. We sampled the Kimpchi Edemname which was great, and also had the Coconut Shrimp. They have various... More

While a little pricey the setting, food and service make this a must stop on the island. Loved the menu and service. History of the building and area is phenomenal.

This is a funky place, lots of old Hawaii atmosphere and excellent Asian food. Specializes in Thai but general Hawaii style Asian.

Very good food, nice bar, decent menu. Service was fantastic, they were able to sit our group even though we didn't have reservations and they were busy... they went out of their way to get us in

It is located in an old plantation town of Hawi, small town so don't miss it as you drive by. It contains a restaurant, gallery and shop with some great locally made items. As I walked in the host that was just about to clean a table turned back, greeted me and took our name. The entire staff was attentive... More

Food was very good. Had the pulled pork quesadilla appetizer which was very tasty. Relatives had burgers which were good. Local employee did impromptu hula dance which they asked for dollar bills for her newborn's college fund. People seemed to have fun. Good place to go if you are passing by and are hungry.
