We live in Kona and this was by far one of the best restaurants we have visited. It was our anniversary and we wanted something special. Well did we ever get it!! The food is all fresh and we believe reasonably priced for what we got. My husband had the rib eye steak and we were lucky enough to be... More

This is a wonderful restaurant with excellent food and a very attentive and professional staff. It is probably the best restaurant in the vicinity. As others have pointed out, Ke'ei Cafe does not accept credit cards so bring cash. The baked brie appetizer is simply divine. We also love the pork chops served with pineapple. Another great entree is the... More

We ate dinner here twice while staying at a local bed and breakfast. I am very surprized to read comments about indifferent service, that was certainly not our experience. In spite of the fact that this place gets very busy, the service felt professional and yet friendly and genuine. The food, for some reason, was better on our first night.... More

Best meal we had in two weeks in Hawaii. Owner and staff were wonderful hosts, greeting each customer like family. Food was fantastic and fresh. Romantic atmosphere with live music. Decorations/surroundings were fancy, but dress was casual. Great location for locals and tourists looking for a great meal at a good price. meals ranged from $27 for fresh catch of... More

Since we were celebrating, we brought our own Champagne. The corking fee was low and the service professional. Appetizers very tasty, mains absolutely delicious and some unique desserts made with local ingredients. Best yet on the island, overall.

After several recommendations, we checked out the Ke'ei cafe. It's a popular place, so we were lucky to get, without reservations, a table after a short (15 min) wait. The dining room is spacious, with an open balcony that extends the dining area literally into the open sky. The appetizers were good (eggplant rolls), but the main dishes were generic.... More

1. Food is excellent and very reasonably priced compared to other restaurants on the island (especially within the resorts) 2. Service can be slow

I went to this restaurant based on the reviews and was very disappointed. There are much better restaurants in the area. Kenichi Pacific and Rapanui are so much better. The service here was terrible. Very slow, the waiter had too many tables, had an attitude. It took an hour and a half for a salad and two entrees. They only... More
