I can't believe we did not discover this amazing restaurant until November '2014. It's use of Hawaiian Koi wood in all the furniture, and beautiful art-craft walls, doors, Native carvings...charming. It is on the second floor with huge wide-open glass doors,, and a lanai on the outside. Though it is not on the waterfront, the delightful little towns, old shops... More

Although on the main highway, we never would have found this place without a recommendation from our innkeeper. The décor is lovely --- spacious with lots of wood. Service was friendly and prompt for our Saturday night meal. During the meal, we were very quietly serenaded, by two musicians playing a mixture of traditional Hawaiian music with classic oldies from... More

Keei cafe is charming, the food is great and not overly expensive. The view is excellent. The service is spotty at best but somehow that didn't matter. There is wonderful live music. At first I was a bit concerned at the sound system which seemed outsized for the room. However it was well controlled and not obtrusive. You'll need reserves... More

a lovely little restaurant (not sure why they call themselves as a cafe as they are so much more). The location is lovely on the first floor with an open balcony facing the sea and free parking below. The food was well presented with ample portions and had obviously been cooked fresh and with care. The dishes were simple, but... More

The location of this place is really nice! You can see the sunset from almost every table and the whole setting has that special tropical feeling to it with big open windows and huge fans on the ceiling. There was live music too. The food was good too and prices are decent for Hawai'i. I would eat there again.

We visited Keei Café for dinner. The setting was nice and the service was average. We enjoyed live music that was a good compliment to the meal. We both had the Catch of the Day, one of us got the Thai curry preparation and one got the special sauce of the day, in this case passion fruit. The Thai curry... More

The mahi mahi was delicious. The room looks out to the ocean, and is well appointed. The service was very good. Cash only. Make reservations.

We go here every year and it never fails. It's cash only, but they do have an ATM machine. They sit up on the mountain overlooking the ocean, so sunset is the best time to go for a spectacular view. Owners are very nice and fish is fresh. We were stuffed. delicious favors.

Although this place is call 'Cafe', like many places in Hawaii, a cafe sometimes is more like a bistro. This one is a Brazilian Hawaiian fusion restaurant. Owner Bob and his wife (the one who has the Brazilian connection) created a casual chic ambiance with a colorful menu. This was my favorite restaurant in Captain Cook. It also has a... More
