We went here for Valentine's Day on our first night on the Big Island. Understandably, the restaurant was very crowded. The food was quite good and the service was pretty good. The restaurant was very loud, partly because of large parties, but also the acoustics. We were having a difficult time having a conversation. But we certainly enjoyed ourselves.

The evening was topped off tonight as we enjoyed delicious dinner of spearfish Thai curry and jasmine rice. The service was good with a server who was very knowledgeable about the food served and had such a pleasant personality.

My wife & I had dinner here on a Saturday. The cafe was full, there are few places to dine out in Captain Cook. We both had the special, an Ahi Tuna with a passion fruit sauce. I must admit, it was very tasty. However, The food was cold! What a nice dinner and it was cold. I mentioned this... More

I've been in Kona a lot and friends recommended this little restaurant. It was a great find. Excellent food and drinks. Nice entertainment. They do not take credit cards but have an ATM right in front. Owners came to table to check on our food. Staff very nice and was attentive. Good assortment of fresh fish and meats . I... More

Keei Cafe serves the best fish in the most unusual ways. They incorporate local fruits and vegetables for a creative dining experience. Meats (my sister had the rack of lamb) are exquisite and done to perfection. I am doing an informal survey and in my opinion they also have the best Mai-tai on the island. The wait staff is friendly... More

Traditional and ethnic choices. The seafood soup was great. View on the balcony was good although the main drag traffic was noisy.

Great ahi (nothing new on Hawai'i Island) but extraordinary half chicken with spices from the Philippines, knowledgeable fun staff. We reserved a table and it was honored in seconds, with seats on the lanai overlooking the Pacific; others were in a long line. Two fine guitarists covering '60s classics including a slow version of The Letter dedicated to the very... More

The food was good, not extraordinary, like many have posted on this. They have a great view and good ambiance, but I would not go back to them for the meal itself. Plus the service was ordinary
