Seems to be a very popular place and the food was excellent. I had some of my daughters spring rolls and they were delicious. I would definitely go there again if in the area and wanted Chinese.

This is a little Chinese restaurant, been around for a great number of years, and is really good. Ordering special dishes is my favorite way to go....yum. You may also create your plate from the buffet type layout. Chinese beer is good also!

We've stopped here for takeout several times over the years, and this time ate "family style." The food was very flavorful, and the service was good. It happened to be on a night with someone having a party in the next room, so they were a little flustered. Still, the stuffed tofu and roast duck were very awesome. The gon... More

We arrived in the afternoon to the area. We checked out our lodging and headed back the 11 miles to Captain Cook. We found the Hong Kong Chop Suey just below the grocery store and went in. What a pleasant surprise. We each started with the fried rice, then Vern had Orange Chicken and Egg Fu Young, excellent! I had... More

The food was very mediocre. Lots of canned vegetables, very bland and flavorless. Only a very unsophisticated diner would think this is a good Chinese restaurant.

Order from the menu rather than the steam table. Service is quick.

Apparently there is NO decent chinese food in Hawaii. But this was not even edible. The pork tofu looked like it was served in a glue paste. Don't expect chinese food when you go here. Service was also not "Aloha".
