We were making a return trip to Volcanoes National Park and stopped here for brunch. Glad we did! It was pretty crowded when we arrived, so we were shown to the back room that probably doubled as a bedroom at one time. I chose the Ruben on caraway rye off the sandwich menu and my wife chose the Papaya Special... More

We had ono fish sandwiches, side salads, and lilikoi cheesecake. All was fresh and delicious. The Kona Coffee was good too! Definitely worth a stop.

Stopped here to get a bite to eat on the way back from snorkeling near the City of Refuge and was overwhelmed by the surprise awaiting us as we entered the open-air restaurant with the million-dollar view overlooking the lush mountainside and Pacific Ocean! A cool breezy spot after being in the sun was found here as we dined mountainside... More

Stopped several times...the fresh coconut latte was so full of flavor. The view way crisp and you could see the coast and hear the surf. Breakfast took an average wait 25 minutes, the place was packed. Both myself and my husband enjoyed our meals. Very impressed with food, price. And wait staff. The eggs Benedict with cooked perfect. Will go... More

Great little eatery. Good with kids or just adults. Wonderful meals BUT fantastic Kona coffee. This open air restaurant on the side of the main road/highway has tons of colorful little lizards that hang around. It is built on the side of the volcano and offers amazing views of the coffee fields below and the ocean in the distance. Very... More

My wife and I split the Hawaiian pizza and it was awesome! We followed that up with a mango cheesecake! And this is one of the most suitable places we've been!

Just went to the Coffee Shack for breakfast with my family. It was great at a good price and much better than any resort breakfast we have encountered so far. Plus the views were amazing and the Geckos were great entertainment for the kids! Do yourself a favor and take the short drive to the Coffee Shack,,,

We arrived and were seated quickly at a table with a great view out over the hillside and the ocean below the cafe. We ordered a couple pizzas, a salad and the daily soup. The food was ok, but nothing spectacular. Our main issue with the Coffee Shack was the service. Our waitress did not seem like she actually enjoyed... More
