We stopped at the Coffee Shack on our drive from Kona to the Volcanoes, and we are so happy we did! What a spectacular location they have overlooking the coast, it's absolutely beautiful. Sit and enjoy the view if you can. We didn't have a full breakfast, just tea and coffee and a cinnamon bun (definitely big enough to share!!)... More

The small restaurant is perched alongside a highway, showing plenty of wear. However, get past the need for some maintenance and enjoy a great breakfast with a commanding view of the hillside with the ocean in the distance. The breakfast items my wife and i had were very good and priced right. Spotty service. There were always one or more... More

The place doesn't look like much on the outside and there is limited parking, but the view is fantastic and the food wonderful. The macadamia nut pie is to die for ... similar to a pecan pie but made with those delicious macademia nuts and I mean lots of nuts (more than you would get in a typical pecan pie).... More

We've been coming to Big Island every year or two and always stopped here for the views and simply because there aren't that many places to eat in that area. We were never impressed with the food before but this time it was just disappointing especially coffee. When you have a word coffee in the name of your restaurant i... More

We had been by this place many times but never stopped, but a waitress (Nikki) recommended it, so we gave it a try. And what a spot! This has got to be one of the top ten spots in the world for a view! And when your food arrives, you don't want to leave! It's about 1500' up on the... More

We stopped by early in the AM for breakfast before heading to Honunau. This cafe is just nestled along the highway and away from the hustle and bustle of Kona. When you step in, there's this quaint charm with this cafe. Parts of the dining area is open air and you get an amazing view of the Bay. There's a... More

We stopped on our way south out of Kona. Found the place on Trip Advisor and it was another success story. I had the turkey/ham sandwich hot and it was great. We should have order on sandwich and spilt it is was very large. 3x the meet of a Subway sandwich. It is a small cafe with outside covered sitting.... More

We had breakfast here our first day in Hawaii. Good food and absolutely gorgeous views. We had eggs, toast, bacon, potatoes for a very reasonable price.
