We stayed in Cpt. Cook and happened to drive by this place. We were attracted to their gluten free and organic offerings. What a good choice we made! This place is outstanding - coffee is rich, food is very tasty and the staff is among the most friendly we have met on the island. A+!!

Being coffee aficionados, we sampled many brews on the Big Island during our visit -- and were rather disappointed at most of the places we tried. However, this was not the case at Kaya's: we found their coffee beverages to be most excellent (and consistently so, based on repeated visits). Service was really super friendly, and the cafe has a... More

This is one block from our accommodation so we tried it. Funky but OK, was hot inside on the day we visited. Lots of room inside. Noisy outside because of highway North of the actual village of Captain Cook as we know it. Coffee was average, not much flavor. We were told all three sizes of Americano have the same... More

Very good Kona coffee, interesting array of in-house baked goods (scones, muffins, cookies--all attentive to gluten-free diets) and quiches.

This is a down-to-earth place with some of the best coffee I've ever had. Kind of funky new-age-y, needs ventilation badly (it gets HOT in that place), but again, the coffee is outstanding.

We just come here for the coffee. I am told it is the best on the island. If it is not, I want to try the best because I can't believe any could be better.

We really enjoyed the amazing coffee at Kaya's and the mellow hippy atmosphere, never crowded, always welcoming. They also have a small collection of handmade goods for sale.

We were looking for a good cup of coffee and some wifi after dropping the kids at scuba, so we pulled in here. What a pleasant surprise! Great earthy decor, good coffee and food, wifi. We have food sensitivities, so we brought our own coconut milk (most places only have soy); not only do they have the soy, but she... More

We were advised to try here for some goodies, the brownies were the best we have ever had, so good we arranged to go back. Unfortunately there was no brownies but the cupcakes were just as fantastic.
