Really enjoyed our lunch at Mahina Cafe. Had fish and chips using tuna fish. Home made cole slaw. All very good. Son loved his burger too. Clean and friendly. Would strongly recommend

My husband and I discovered this gem by happy accident and ended up re-visiting it 2 times during our stay. The menu has a wide variety of choices, the food is delicious and locally/responsibly sourced, and the staff is very nice. This is not a glamorous restaurant (but it is very clean) and the service is slow (but, you're in... More

A very charming cafe owe and run by two sisters who were born and bred in the area. I only had coffee and pastry and they were lovely. We had a lovely discussion of the famous local MMA fighter of BJ Penn and how locals feel about the big five American companies which donated the production of some agricultural products.... More

I went there because a friend recommended Mahina cafe and I was not disappointed. The food was good, the place was very clean and the staff was super nice. I'm sorry I couldn't go back again, but I certainly know where to go when I go back to the Hawai'i.

I had a traditional Hawaiian meal, and it was fantastic! In fact, it was the only truly traditional meal I had during my vacation in Hawaii, and I loved all of the unusual dishes and flavors. Kudos to the chefs and owners. :-)

Best fish and chips I've ever had, best service. Must go to! Always fresh and so sweet. When we went in the late afternoon there was only one other couple ! Totally a nice place to relax :)

My wife and I always like clean, well run small restaurants. And when they serve great food too, they are always a favorite of ours. We ate there twice and had something different every time. Very good simple bacon & eggs and fabulous pancakes with macadamia nuts and coconut sauce. Great sandwiches! Drive away from Kona to Captain Cook and... More

Just finished snorkeling in the bay and we hopped up to this pleasant cafe with delicious food. The hostess was very kind and helped us understand about a traditional Celebration of Life event that was taking place on the beach. We ordered the Hawaiian plate and a fish sandwich. Fresh and tasty. We got a dozen malasadas to go. We'll... More
