We were at the Dinosaur Center (Grandparents, Mom and five year old) and decided to get some lunch before heading to the Star Plunge for some hot water. We've lived an hour away for fifteen years and go through Thermopolis all the time, but had not ever eaten at the Black Bear. The food was good and the waitress was... More

We were looking to have a nice relaxing breakfast and found this place on Yelp. We had eggs, potatoes, bacon, pancakes and the coffee was pretty darn good, too. Excellent service and the food was delivered really fast. I will definitely be returning to this lovely cafe. Love a home cooked meal.

Stopped in for breakfast before starting a full day of sight seeing and adventure. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. After finishing our meals the waitress said that our meals were taken care of thanking us for our military service. We asked her who was so kind to have the heart to do this for us. Her... More

While on a business trip with a large group we invaded this cafe for lunch and wow did they step up for the challenge of great food and service! I am Gluten Intolerant and they offered many choices to accommodate me....and with a happy spirit I might add! You can have breakfast anytime and their lunch specials are always an... More

I'm not sure why this restaurant gets such good reviews. Our breakfast was sub-standard at best. Nothing looked or tasted homemade, previously frozen for sure. We ate a lot of breakfasts on our 30 day roadtrip and this was by far the most disappointing. I'd be more specific about what disappointed us but I forgot my breakfast as soon as... More

The place is really great! It seems like it's were a lot of the locals go and it was really nice to know! The waitress' were really nice and attentive and the food was really good. My husband got the huevos rancheros and he ate every last bite. I got a BLT which was good, but I also got a... More

We stopped here for breakfast on our way from Cody to Fort Collins. In our two week driving trip from Phoenix through Utah and Wyoming, this was one of the best breakfasts we had. More than the standard fare we found in most places and at a good quality. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very friendly. A... More

We were on our way out of town and wanted something to go for breakfast. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with home fries to go. The food was very good and we would stop there again next time we pass through town.

Thermopolis, Wyoming is off the beaten path but it makes a wonderful lunch stop on the scenic drive Dubois or Riverton up to Cody. It's family-run funky, with great, simple food at both breakfast and lunch (they close about 3 pm). Service was friendly and prompt and everything we ate (ham and biscuits, patty melt with fries, vanilla milkshakes) was... More
