Description: In February 2008, Fine Dining Restaurant Group, of Rendezvous Bistro & Q Roadhouse fame, brought a taste of Italy to Jackson Hole with the opening of Il Villaggio Osteria. Located inside the Hotel Terra which is the state’s first LEED certified property and only the fifth in the United States. Highlights of the intimate restaurant are Il Villagio Osteria’s 12-seat wine bar and eight seat salami bar, where guests can watch as imported meats and cheeses, sourced from the country’s finest purveyors, are hand-sliced to order. House made pastas, sausage stuffed olives, beautiful wines and entrees round out the exquisite multi course menu.

I went for dinner last night. Crowded restaurant. Not their fault but I was seated next to a multi-family group with loud kids. But the food was unremarkable. The kale salad appetizer was fine, just fine. But the seafood pasta/pesto dish was really not good -- way too heavy on the spice. Just not good. Tonight we were pleased by... More

Restaurant was quite noisy with large family next to us. Caprese salad was only average. Lobster risotto was better but not great.

Started our trip here with late dinner and it was just what we were looking for. Our salads were both fresh, simple and delicious. The pasta bolognese was very good, but was outshone by the really really delicious salumi pizza. Hard part is not going back for every meal while in town. Service was also warm and friendly. Big thumbs... More

Top grade food and presentation . It's a big step above most food found at a mountain resort for sure..nice atmosphere and wine list. If you go for lunch , it will be hard to get back on the slopes with all that rich food and wine!

We live in the Chicago area so know Italian restaurants well. Creative spins on the appetizer, salad and thin-crust pizza we shared made this a great dining experience. The service was good and a lively crowd inside and outside made for a vibrant dining experience. Interesting varietal wine list too.

We used to love this place. Went for dinner one night and asked about the Lamb chops. There were out so the waitress suggested the best thing on the menu; elk chop. She said it was not gamey. I ordered it but found it very lean and not tasty. My wife also ordered the chicken catchatori which was ok but... More

Very good. Probably the best meal we had our entire vacation. The lasagna was incredible and the little ice cream cookie desserts were to die for. Conveniently located in Teton Village I would have gone twice if it wasn’t my last night.

Stayed in the Terra hotel early August and ate here twice. Staff were very friendly and tried to accommodate us, as we had not made any reservations on both occasions. As a European and frequent traveler, I found the food was good but a bit too Americanized to really be great Italian food. The salumi were great, but on the... More

Found Osteria after a rafting trip at dusk. Sat at the pizza bar. Very good first course, ordered a pizza which was made in front of us. It was well cooked and served fresh and hot. As we were finishing our meal the pizza maker took his cap off and ran his bare hands through his hair then proceeded to... More
