The bartender from Ohio is a really great guy... He bought me my drink for my birthday and the atmosphere is really fun. If you want a great drink at a really good price this is the place to go

We'd heard about the Mint Bar on Trip Advisor and went to have a look - there were lots of interesting photos and artefacts on the wall. We stayed for a drink while we had a look round.

Stayed over in Sheridan on our tour through National Parks with Archers Cosmos (excellent tour). On walking the main street we came across this fab bar, loved the juke box, the stuffed animals and the atmosphere. We filled ourselves with music, dance and good beer. Great night with very hospitable locals and bar staff.

Going on line and reading the history of the Mint will certainly help the experience but it's a small step back in time. We went on a Saturday night and although there were a lot of locals, there were also a fair amount of "tourist". We are a group of guys going to Sheridan for the hunting so it was... More

Great place to have a drink, lot to see, good service, not your "run of mill" establishment. The bar gives a view of the wild animals found in the area.

Stepping into the cool, dim air of the Mint in downtown Sheridan was enough to quickly allow the hours on the Interstate trail to fade. What a bar! Nothing is for "show", decoration to improve the "western-ness" for tourists or locals. First of all, the Mint is a local bar where you can get a shot and a beer and... More

It's not the tales of my father and his pals getting thrown in jail after a fight in his tuxedo after a wedding party decided it was a "good idea" to go to the Mint way back in 1965, and then find that their "penguin get-ups" weren't to the liking of the locals cowboys, that gets me to the Mint... You can read the history of the bar on their website, which I highly recommend before you go. I'm not a fan of seeing dead animals on walls, but this is part of the environment and added to the character of the bar. Bottles of beer were very inexpensive and the bartender was really nice and helpful. I honestly think... More
