I had the Cajun Pasta w/ Chicken, was very very good. My sister had the Ribeye. Taste of steak was great however about 1/4 of it was fat. Desert was delicious. The house needs a good cleaning inside, bathroom was not that clean, carpet throughout was stained and snagged, dusty in some of the rooms, and the service station by... More

Reasonably priced with excellent customer service. My husband said his steak was cooked perfect. I loved the linguine. Our 7 yr old son said it was "the best food he had ever had." He has $ taste. My 4 yr old daughter loved the chocolate cake. We plan to come back in December.

We were travelling from eastern Idaho to Boulder, Colorado and decided to break the trip up into two parts. The obvious choice was to stay the night in Rawlins, Wyoming. We had no great expectations for dining but decided to eat at the Aspen House due to the previous write-ups. The wine selection was excellent, the rib eye steak was... More

On one of my most remote business trip to date, I had to go the the small town or Rawlins for a video shoot for a client. Flew into Denver, then drove to Rawlins. Felt like an extra in the movie "Dances with Wolves". Such a beautiful drive. And what a great restaurant. I dined alone this trip, but the... More

You don't need me telling you this is a great restaurant because other reviewers have already done that. But is so nice to get a really terrific dinner when you are on a road trip (shrimp and artichoke heart pasta! yum). This was my first long driving trip by myself and it was nice to treat myself. I spent less... More

When on a road trip, it is not easy to know where to eat. We stopped at this restaurant based on recommendations from other Trip Advisor reviewers. When we walked in, I noticed two cars from Colorado and one from North Dakota and wondered if they had also read Trip Advisor. Great food (I had the deglazed beef medallions, delicious!)... More

We delayed our 40th anniversary.....but were glad we could celebrate here. Lovely restaurant in an old 2 story home, downtown, with great decor, a super waitress.....husband's lamb was fantastic and my seafood fettucine w/the garlic/butter/wine sauce was super. Only wish I could have taken the rest of it with me! Wine list was limited and we had to buy a... More

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at this beautiful old, family-run restaurant. Pasta and steak were prepared perfectly.

My wife and I were traveling throughout CO, WY, ID and MT and had the good fortune to eat at this wonderful restaurant twice. I can honestly say that they served two of the best meals we have ever had. The food was very flavorful with a good use of spices. Nothing overpowering, but just enough to make the food... More

My wife and I live in Rawlins and eat at The Aspen House when we want a special night out. I usually have the ribeye steak, and she has the rack of lamb. We were there last night, and the food was exceptional again. We are transplants here, and have eaten across America, in Europe, and in Southeast Asia. The... More
