Good but not great food. The asthetics are nice as its a old house. Service was less than desirable. Took it as a recommendation. Worth a try

Very small restaurant with most tables in private rooms. The food was not the best but was okay. They presented the salads, appetizers and entree's in rapid succession so we were unable to finish one course before being presented with the next. When we asked that they slow down we were told that they have a small kitchen and could... More

We went based on TA review. Like many we were on a long journey; for us it was Yellowstone to Denver to fly home so spirits were potentially low. However we had a lovely evening. Aspen House is literally a house and we had a room to ourselves. My husband had the rib eye and it was melt in the... More

An excellent restaurant. Service was fast, food choice was diverse and can't fault the quality. I had the ribeye steak which was the biggest I have ever seen, cooked to perfection. My wife had the beef medallions which again were suburb. We shared the cheesecake desert between us. This place deserves to hold the number one restaurant slot in Rawlins.... More

we found the place on advice from the owners of the Ferris B&B on our way to Yellowstone, and had an amazing experience. The ambiance is warm and nice, a slice of old America that must be preserved, and the food was simply perfect. They've got a very diverse menu that proposes both American staples such as steaks and cajun... More

I had the Cajun Pasta w/ Chicken, was very very good. My sister had the Ribeye. Taste of steak was great however about 1/4 of it was fat. Desert was delicious. The house needs a good cleaning inside, bathroom was not that clean, carpet throughout was stained and snagged, dusty in some of the rooms, and the service station by... More

Reasonably priced with excellent customer service. My husband said his steak was cooked perfect. I loved the linguine. Our 7 yr old son said it was "the best food he had ever had." He has $ taste. My 4 yr old daughter loved the chocolate cake. We plan to come back in December.

We were travelling from eastern Idaho to Boulder, Colorado and decided to break the trip up into two parts. The obvious choice was to stay the night in Rawlins, Wyoming. We had no great expectations for dining but decided to eat at the Aspen House due to the previous write-ups. The wine selection was excellent, the rib eye steak was... More

On one of my most remote business trip to date, I had to go the the small town or Rawlins for a video shoot for a client. Flew into Denver, then drove to Rawlins. Felt like an extra in the movie "Dances with Wolves". Such a beautiful drive. And what a great restaurant. I dined alone this trip, but the... More
