When on a road trip, it is not easy to know where to eat. We stopped at this restaurant based on recommendations from other Trip Advisor reviewers. When we walked in, I noticed two cars from Colorado and one from North Dakota and wondered if they had also read Trip Advisor. Great food (I had the deglazed beef medallions, delicious!)... More

We delayed our 40th anniversary.....but were glad we could celebrate here. Lovely restaurant in an old 2 story home, downtown, with great decor, a super waitress.....husband's lamb was fantastic and my seafood fettucine w/the garlic/butter/wine sauce was super. Only wish I could have taken the rest of it with me! Wine list was limited and we had to buy a... More

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at this beautiful old, family-run restaurant. Pasta and steak were prepared perfectly.

My wife and I were traveling throughout CO, WY, ID and MT and had the good fortune to eat at this wonderful restaurant twice. I can honestly say that they served two of the best meals we have ever had. The food was very flavorful with a good use of spices. Nothing overpowering, but just enough to make the food... More

My wife and I live in Rawlins and eat at The Aspen House when we want a special night out. I usually have the ribeye steak, and she has the rack of lamb. We were there last night, and the food was exceptional again. We are transplants here, and have eaten across America, in Europe, and in Southeast Asia. The... More

We've eaten here twice; once for dinner on an earlier visit, and recently for lunch. For lunch, my husband and I shared the spicy beef salad, which was very tasty, but a bit overpriced for the amount. The iced tea was probably the best I've had in a long time! Mostly, we enjoy the ambiance of a historical home and... More

When traveling between California and Denver, we make Rawlins our last stop to spend the evening before heading on to Lone Tree to visit our son and his family. What made our stay in Rawlins especially enjoyable on this trip was the Aspen House Restaurant. The chef offers up five star dishes in an old restored quaint Victorian Home in... More

We rolled into Rawlins, WY, and were seeking a nice restaurant for the evening. Trip Advisor reviewers indeed picked a winner! This old 100+ years historic home began as a surgeon's home, then a lawyer's firm, and finally a restaurant. Some of the furnishings date back to the surgeon's occupancy. I would definitely make reservations. They do a brisk business.... More

I came across this quaint restaurant while traveling through Rawlins, Wy last week. Asked the server what they recommend and they said the ribeye steak! It was cooked to perfection and came with a fresh green salad or a homemade soup. I have been traveling for two weeks and this is the best food I have had so far! Highlight... More
