My sister in law took us out to eat for my birthday. My son and I had Chicken Alfredo. The Alfredo sauce had the consistency of poorly pureed cottage cheese and not a hint of seasoning. The chicken was cooked to a mushlike consistency and the noodles were cooked without a touch of salt. My husband ordered a steak and... More

My family and I stopped just outside of the black hills for dinner on our way back from Yellowstone. It was not a great experience which is a shame as the building and ambiance was promising. It took 2 hours to get our food and when we got it my wife's pasta was luke warm at best. The bathrooms are... More

Stopped in here while on a motorcycle trip. When I entered the building I was hoping that the food was much better than the décor. I was a little concerned and decided to play it safe and order a meatball sub. I must say it was one of the best meatball subs I had ever eaten. The other food coming... More

We were staying in Custer and just wanted to say we ate in Wyoming. We found Isabella’s because the diner we had wanted to go to was closed for the day ad Newcastle is a very small town. Our server Madison was terrific, when we ordered our pizza she asked how many Ranch cups we wanted. Being confused we asked... More

I'm a California food snob, so I was happy to find homemade marinara and homemade Alfredo (=NOT flour-based white sauce with cream in it) in Newcastle WY. It is possible to travel and avoid chain restaurants. Not a California wine list, and maybe a little heavy on the spices in the marinara, but hey, they know what they are doing,... More

We had to spend one night in Newcastle, so Isabella's really the only place to eat. Madison, our waitress, was very efficient & friendly. Service was very quick, although the place filled up fast & became very busy. My spaghetti & meatballs tasted delicious & the portion was large. Like one reviewer said, "not much in Newcastle to choose from",... More

Not much in Newcastle to choose from but this is a surprisingly comfy venue and pretty broad, Italian based menu. Great price points but realize the meals are small plate priced so for $2 more you get "the large plate" which is plenty. Great bread.

This is one of the better places to eat in Newcastle. Good food and good portions at a fair price. Lots of menu choices and daily specials to chose from. Decor is a little sparse but the food makes up for it.

I have had their pasta and it was good. If you get a full order of any pasta, be ready to take some home. Very large portions. But my favorite dish there is the cranberry walnut chicken salad. They make their own cranberry dressing for this salad and use a nice blend of mixed greens with the other ingredients. This... More
