Trapper Grill as a bar

We had dinner here as an alternative to Trapper Grill next door, which had a line as soon as it opened. The bar is rather small and dark- there are frosted windows between it and the Grill, so the bar doesn’t capture any outside light, or any of the Grill’s lake views. The dinner menu we were... read more

My friends and I stopped at the Signal Mountain Lodge on our way back from the Grand Tetons. We decided to eat at Deadman's Bar. We asked the bartender if we could sit at the bar and be served to which he replied, "yeah but you'll get the same service at the tables too." Thought that was kind of rude... More

We were camping in the Signal Mountain Campground and were faced with heavy rains one evening, so we stopped into the bar to get dinner and have a beer. There was great service, excellent food, and a relaxed atmosphere to escape the rain!

A must visit yearly place. We go there first for a half order of their famous nachos and return for at least one more meal. The food is excellent, fresh, served hot and great value. The wait staff is superior, always friendly, attentive and very happy to be working there. The menu offers a wide variety and the gluten free... More

We spent a couple of hours in the Deadman's Bar at Signal Mountain Lodge to cool off on an unseasonably warm afternoon (early July). They have a good selection of beers on tap along with several suggested mixed drinks and a ton of bottles if you want to be more creative. Service varied over our few hours there: Melissa and... We stopped in at mid-afternoon with a waiting line for the regular dining room, so we elected the Deadman's Bar where we were provided excellent service and a delicious meal. I ordered the Trapper Sandwich and my wife the Turkey. Beer and wine were served quickly and the meal followed in a reasonable time. Fries were a little soggy, but... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and dinner in Deadman's Bar. Service was excellent and friendly and the food (ordering from the Trapper Grill menu) was terrific. the fireplace is wonderful and the decor is pure national park. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed watching the US play in the World Cup here this summer. Craft Brews and good food. It was packed but they kept up with the demand.

My wife and I ate dinner in the Deadman’s Bar three times during our 2014 stay at Signal Mountain Lodge. I just like the informal, relaxed, pub-like atmosphere. The menu is the same in Deadman’s Bar and Trapper Grill and while you do get a view out over the lake from Trapper Grill (but if it is dark out, that... More
