An absolutely excellent coffee shop and more. Classic coffee shop karma, and some of the best roasted-right-there-coffee you could find anywhere! Been there many years and the locals love it, but visitors hardly know about it.

Coffee and Beer!

Coal Creek still has the good coffee and tea selection but has blown a hole in the side wall and expanded into a beer tap room. The only drawback is space: there are only tables for 2 and bar stools. So it is rather cramped but the idea is excellent. Nice to place to grab a drink, sit and relax.... read more

Before we left Laramie to embark on the road to the Snowy Mountains, we were looking for a place to eat. Always wanting something different and local, we picked Coal Creek Coffee Company. I liked the atmosphere. My spouse had a BLT for $8 and I had a chocolate raspberry muffin $3.00 and tea. The food was good and the... More

On our way out of town, we stopped in to grab a cup for the road. I was sorry we couldn't stay longer. I enjoyed the atmosphere of this relatively small but lively shop. The pastry looked great but the display is right in front of the order counter so it's hard to see until you get to the counter... More

Okay, I couldn't find the Taphouse listed, but it is an adjunct to Coal Creek Coffee so this is the next best thing. The Taphouse has been open less than a year and is a "nano brewery", with few keg batches of beer tapped through the bar wall- usually at least a dozen different and quite eclectic beers. One is... We had coffee at both Coal Creek locations throughout or weekend stay. The coffee is excellent (though had to double espresso shots in drinks to get strength right.) Food is good, but wait time was very long.

Like the downtown place for chilling, reading and having a lazy afternoon with book or computer, coffee good, soups good choice, relaxing location downtown

Sorry to report that service at Coal Creek has steadily declined. It is hard to get an employee to look up and courteously acknowledge your presence. I was looking forward to a nice Chai, smelled wonderful, bity taste but gave me a terrible stomach ache about 20 minutes after consuming. This is the 3rd time this had happened so I... More

I still love Coal Creek, but I have to knock it down a peg. I'm still looking for the perfect place to do my research/writing, and I like the ability to have a snack, cup of coffee, or a frosty beverage. With the new Coal Creek Tap, you'd think that this would be perfect. Alas, the inability to maintain a... More

Recently opened, Coal Creek Coffee's attached Tap Room is a great place for an evening pint of your favorite beer. A pleasant, warm atmosphere, eclectic and large selection and friendly staff (even near their last call at about 10:30 p.m.) make this night spot worth a try. The place is not large, so plan accordingly.
