An absolutely excellent coffee shop and more. Classic coffee shop karma, and some of the best roasted-right-there-coffee you could find anywhere! Been there many years and the locals love it, but visitors hardly know about it.

Best coffee in Laramie

Coal Creek Coffee is the best coffee in town. It's cozy, it's a fun place to hang out. They often also have some good home-made pastries of scones or something. It's not always perfect though - mostly I get a great drink, but about one in 20 isn't so great. It's a local place - I know most of... read more

I ordered the Mocha Bianca. Not only was the drink cold, it was also flavorless. It was more or less an 8oz cup of steamed milk. The size was my main reason for being unsatisfied. The menu has two options single or double. I dont enjoy being jittery, so i ordered the single. $3.50 for a drink i literally could... More

Stopped here as recommended to get a great cup of coffee on the way out of town. The open early 6 am I think. The coffee is very good not as bitter as Starbucks smooth! I think they roast their own beans. Great atmosphere for just hanging out with friends. Friendly staff and attentive service. They also have some wonderful... More

Coal creek is generally the best place in town to get coffee. It has a great atmosphere as well! Coal creek is my favorite place to hang out or just get a nice cup o' Joe on the run.

Small tables for two to three guests, and larger parties, also sofas and stuffed chairs... Old brick walls with local art for sale. Best coffee in town. (Two locations...another more modern on Grand Ave further east near Holiday Inn) Outdoor tables in front as well as around the corner with a fire pit. Located at the base of Grand Ave,... More

I've been drinking the coffee from this place on our bike tours across Wyoming where the owners sponsor the riders with free coffee in the morning and afternoons. Good people. This was my first time in their shop in Laramie and it was wonderful!

Let's face it kids, the world is populated with places serving wretched coffee. It's a pity, but there you have it. Serious coffee fiends want something that will float a horseshoe, tie your tongue in a knot, and pop your eyeballs out. So if you're in that select group, visit Coal Creek. They serve "no quarter" coffee. Enjoy!

We stopped at Coal Creek Coffee for a cup of coffee. The coffee was made with care and not rushed unlike other chain coffee spots. The food looked good but we were just in the market for coffee. Bold flavor coffee with alternative milk options.

We shared the tomato basil soup and later picked up some delicious desserts to take back to our hotel. The microbrewery attached was really busy and looked popular.....we didn't have time to test it out, but like the idea that there are those options
