We came here for a late lunch one summer afternoon. We had soup and sandwich. My husband ordered the chicken posole soup and enjoyed it. I had the apricot bisque. It was refreshing but a little too sweet. He ordered the green tomato BLT and enjoyed; I had the turkey sandwich and it was also good. Service was a little... More

Followed the recommendation from the hotel manager after our fantastic yellowstone trip. It was awesome to sit with my friends together in the courtyard. The diner is quite lovely, just like a cozy home for the cute dwarfs. The steak was really good. I could tell all my folk enjoyed their meals. One thing that bothered me, is how they... More

Ordered a feta dressing salad, so much vinegar it was burning. Also had blackened chicken with angel hair. Chicken a good, pasta was the worst. I love pasta and ate one forkful. But what was most surprising was when the waitress picked up my finished plate, she never asked WHY all the pasta was still there!

I've traveled to Jackson many times and almost every time I've eaten a meal at Sweetwater. This time, however, the menu had changed since my last trip and was disappointing in its lack of local foods. Instead of elk medallions or elk sausage there were BBQ ribs. Really? With reservations, we were seated at 20:00. They were already out of... More

Our family ate here on Saturday night and what a great choice it was! My husbands rib eye was cooked perfectly and I enjoyed my trout. The kids meals were fantastic and came with slices of fresh, ripe fruit. Our server, Kendall was excellent. She was familiar with the menu, great with the kids and always kept our glasses full.... Several people in Jackson recommended eating lunch at the Sweet water Restaurant in Jackson. We were told to go early because there is usually a line for lunch. The old log cabin style building looked inviting and we got there 15 minutes after noon. The restaurant was not all busy and we were taken to a table as soon as... More

We will not be returning to Sweetwater. The service was very poor. We waited over one hour for our food. The server at lunch was very rude.

While vacationing last week, we ate at this restaurant. Granted they close their lunch service and we arrived about 2:45. We were seated right away but our server (who was the manager) was not prompt in taking our order. There were 5 adults and 2 children in our party. Our server came back to check on 2 meal orders -... Once of the old classics from a different time in Jackson. It still delivers great food and service. So glad I returned after a long absence. Wonderful outdoor seating area. Enjoy!

I had to try the Elk Osso Buco, oh my, heavenly, just melted in your mouth! We were able to get seating outside and the owner/executive chef Trey was highly visible and very friendly. Had a nice chat with him and where he was from and I asked what his recommendation was. They make there own salad dressings and it... More
