After many trips to Jackson, I finally broke down and visited the Virginian. What a surprise! The service, the friendliness of the staff, the attention to all of us was simply amazing. The food was fresh and hot, the coffee likewise. I had always thought of this huge complex as a tourist trap. Wow. Was I wrong. My son lives... More

Food is good, service is great. Located in the parking lot of the Virginian Motel, it's a quaint little restaurant known for great food and friendly service. It's one of our favorite stops in Jackson. Generally no wait and fast service.

We were staying at their RV park and walked up for breakfast. It was as good as it gets. We had to wait for about 20 minutes as it was very crowded. Well worth the wait.

A good place to have lunch. A varied menu with good American type food. Nothing special, but can't complain about anything.

Filling, down home country and very tasty. Service was very good too. Nothing to dislike only friendly people.

Based on a recommendation from the RV Park owner, we tried it. It was a Saturday morning around 9:00 am and there was a waiting line. Gave our name to the hostess and she said she could seat us because it was a 2 top. Waitress was pleasant and took our order. Menu is very basic. Ordered the Deuce#2 which... More

We actually stayed at the Virginian Lodge for our stay and stoped at the restaurant for breakfast. It was very good and good size portions.

This restaurant was packed when we arrived but we only waited about 20 minutes. We needed a break from the hotel buffet. Pancakes were perfectly done and tasty! Service was shaky at first but improved with time. I can't say anything about lunch or dinner but can recommend for breakfast!

Conveniently located beside the Lodge, we tried eating breakfast here one morning.. We took the breakfast combo with pancakes, sausage links and scrambled eggs. Though the pancakes were HUGE and quite delicious, the 2 sausage links were quite small for the price and scrambled eggs were terrible. Also the service was VERY SLOW and the place was only half full.... More

Wow! The biggest pancakes I've ever seen...as big as the dinner plate...and yummy, too! If you're getting anything else, order a short stack. The breakfast menu has many choices and all are great. We ate breakfast there three times pre-hiking. Service is efficient. Often crowded at peak breakfast time. Loved that this tourist hotel/restaurant is filled with locals. Good old... More
