Not the place it used to be!

We ate at Nani's for our 45th wedding anniversary 7 years ago. It was owned by an old high school friend and service and food were excellent! Fast forward to tonight, our 52nd anniversary....brought Italian friends from California. Food was ok. Nothing spectacular, but ok. Service however was... read more

Fast forward to tonight, our 52nd anniversary....brought Italian friends from California. Food was ok. Nothing spectacular, but ok. Service however was deplorable! I would have to say out of all the places I have been this one is probably where I have had the worst service ever. The staff were so pretentious. When we walked in we were asked if we had a reservation, which we didn't and the place was pretty empty. She proceeded to sit us at the worst table... More

I had spaghetti and meatballs, with orange and arugula salad to start. The meatballs were very tasty. Fresh pasta is an option, as opposed to boxed. The sausage is homemade, with fresh pasta and truffle oil, very good. The kale salad is amazing! Service was great and the restaurant decor is attractive. The seating is comfortable too! Espresso also good.

We had both starters and main course (pasta) and a few glasses of wine each. I eat in this style of restaurant in the UK and my expectations were generally matched. The food was tasy and service generally OK but not great as they seemed to have difficulty with the fact that restaurant was overflowing. The main disappointment is the... More

This is like the Emperor's New Clothes--a fantasy. Minimal food, maximal cost, average taste. Sat on the parking lot!

As a local, we had not been to Nani's for quite sometime and were pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious coupled with friendly, prompt service. The Vincisgrassi mushroom lasagna with truffle oil was incredible! My husband had the Gnoccetti, handmade spinach and goat cheese dumplings...which were to die for! Add the fresh baked breads and olive oil...what a wonderful evening!

Nanis hosted the chamber of commerce mixer for the howdy pardners the other night and introduced the community to new management/ownership with a very generous party! We were warmly received and the finger food followed by pasta including Quattroformaggi, eggplant cantadia, norchia with truffles, sausage and speck were quite delicious!

Went for two for one night and has pasta with shrimp. Pasta was gummy, only 4 small shrimp. Had to ask for bread. Service was slow and uninviting.

We picked up tiramisu from Nani's last week because I really wanted some good Italian-made tiramisu. Their menu said it was "legendary". We ordered the larger size, since we were splitting it. That thing must've weighed 5 pounds! It was HUGE! Of course, it also cost $15!!! Well, I was perfectly ready to gorge myself on tiramisu until I took... More

"Pretentious Italian" pretty well sums it up. The food is fine and imaginative but uber-expensive for no good reason other than this is Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where, apparently, management here thinks everyone is rich. BUT, at a restaurant with these prices, one expects a first-rate experience from arrival to departure. When we arrived (two of us) on a slow night,... More
