Something wild

The food was excellent! I had Elk chop, which I had never had elk before. It was delicious and the baked sweet potato with maple butter was out of this world. The green beans were wonderful also. I loved seeing all of the nostalgic decorations and animals. One of the coolest thing was... read more

We got into town late as it was wet driving and we were towing a heavy rig. (A BIG!! roll of carpet that I got for a song at work and brought back from Colorado, to Wisconsin via Wyoming and Montana) I wanted a cocktail to unwind and I have been craving a steak I didn't have to cook. Both... More

My husband and I stayed a couple days at the Lodge at Jackson Hole, during a recent trip out west. I'd read trip advisor reviews of the hotel and saw that many folks had dined at the nearby Gun Barrel Steak and Game House. Since my husband loves steak, we decided it was the perfect choice. The young man at... More

Great food here, appreciated the little extras before the meal. It helps a young family keep the meal costs down when on vacation. Shared a dish with my wife, the wild game cuts were excellent. We would eat here again for sure.

I loved the atmosphere!!! The food was great. They had endless choices of meat. Steaks and burgers galore!!! This restaurant used to be a taxidermy museum and they still display most of the taxidermy that was in the museum. Thought that was cool. Definitely a must see while in town!!!

Great food, wild game specialties on the menu. So much to look at on the walls you may end up with whiplash. Attentive wait staff. Can be quite busy. Great place to try bison, elk, antelope, etc. if you have never had the experience. Cold beers. A bit expensive but well worth it. This is a for sure stop for... More

Tried the buffalo and the elk. Did NOT care for the elk. Buffalo was good. Beef steak was good. Wife's steak medallions was ok, but has too much sauce

Overall great food and great setting. We shared the bison/elk/venison plate and it was all cooked perfectly. Started with the bison carpaccio and that was tasty as well. The setting fit the food being served, and corkage fee was only $15. Not bad. Thanks for a great experience!
